"Dinner Mate" Unveils Stills of Song Seung Heon and Seo Ji Hye in an Unexpected Date

The soon-to-premiere MBC drama "Dinner Mate" released new exciting stills of Song Seung Heon and Seo Ji Hye, making the wait for the even more unbearable!

"Dinner Mate" tells the story of a woman who recently underwent a rough break-up of her long-term relationship with a man she's still in love. She then meets a man who becomes jaded and tired of romantic relationships after experiencing multiple heartbreaks. They both wait in line at a restaurant to eat dinner, and the hostess mistook them as a couple offering them a couple special. This makes them sit in one table together and end up eating dinner together.

After bonding in their unexpected meeting, they continue to have dinner together weekly while also getting to know each other. Through their weekly meals, they develop a friendship over going to several food places and eating food. They slowly start to recover from their heartaches and develop a connection through food.

The upcoming MBC drama is also based on a webtoon with its literal title, "Shall We Eat Dinner Together?" The series will be written by Park Shi In and directed by Ko Jae Hyun.

Song Seung Heon plays the character of Kim Hae Kyung, a charming psychiatrist and a food psychologist who analyzes people and how they behave through eating food. He is known to treat his patients through food and meals. Although he is quite gentle and well-mannered when dealing with his patients, he is brutally honest about food critiquing.

Seo Ji Hye will be portraying the role of Woo Do Hee, a producing director of a web channel 2N BOX. She is a playful and happy character who is quite popular among her circle of friends. With this, a lot of awaiting fans are questioning how such people with these characteristics get along as dinner mates?

In one of the stills from the drama, Kim Hae Kyung and Woo Do Hee are eating rice from paper cups at a pojangmacha, a tented restaurant famous in South Korea, resting on the street stalls. The fact that Kim Hae Kyung is wearing a floral outfit that is said to be worn by much older women strikes curiosity for the fans.

Despite his outfit, Kim Hae Kyung sends very chill vibes while talking to Woo Do Hee, who is very much talking about something we can't wait to know about. Stills from the drama create such an interest that will make the waiting quite challenging. Fans' curiosity is growing on what type of relationship they will have in drama as dinner mates.
