WATCH: “My Unfamiliar Family” Teaser Shows Familial Trials and Hardships
Family can be one of the most disorganized organizations, which makes you think you can't live with them but you can't also live without them. This theme is what the new show, "My Unfamiliar Family," gives off in the story about relationships and problems experienced by strangers who act around like family and a family who act estranged to one another.
Playing the lead role, Kim Eun Hee, will be actress Han Ye Ri. She is a very optimistic and overly considerate person and the second daughter in the family. Kim Ji Suk will be playing her friend's role in college, the very eccentric person, Park Chan Hyuk. Park Chan Hyuk helps Kim Eun Hee by being her relationship adviser to get her back to the dating game.
Chu Ja Hun will also star the show by playing the role of the elder sister of Kim Eun Hee, Kim Eun Joo, a person who's realistic, practical, and previously worked as an attorney.
Shin Jae Ha will portray the character of the younger brother, Kim Jin Woo, a sensitive young boy. Playing the parents of the children, Sang Shik and Lee Jin Sook, will be actor and actress Jun Jin Young and Won Mi Kyung.
On May 25, "My Unfamiliar Family" released a teaser that starts off with Park Chan Hyuk asking what the problem is with families and answers the question by saying that families don't say what's on their minds and then, later on, they just explode.
His words are true to any family, and as tension builds between Kim Eun Hee and Kim Eun Joo, and as Kim Sang Shik and Lee Jin Sook throw unforgiving words at each other.
The teaser continues with Kim Eun Joo coldly bringing up that Kim Eun Hee has crossed the line, and Kim Eun Hee talks back at her, also pointing her out for her always nagging. Kim Jin Woo sneers at Lee Jin Sook while she looks offended as she asks her son if her decision was funny for him.
Later on, Lee Jin Sook asks and demands separation, and Kim Eun Joo indicates that she is on his side by saying that he should do what he wants, and she is with him.
The story becomes even more interesting when Kim San Shik falls off a mountain slope. And to make matters even worse, Kim Eun Hee admits that she has made a big mistake.
The teaser gives the viewers a thrilling and a twist in the relationship and problems experienced by a lot of families. The biggest question is, will the trials they experience bring them closer, or will they come between them, separating them completely?
"My Unfamiliar family" will premiere June 1 at 9:00 p.m. KST and English subtitles will be available on Viki.
