The 44-year-old actress is getting ready for the release of her new movie, "The Hive." The film is a thriller that revolves around individuals trapped in a building during a mysterious infection. As part of the talks about promoting her, the idea that she might be on popular online talk shows has gotten a lot of attention.

Naver reports that Jun may collaborate with other actors in YouTube shows, some of which feature renowned entertainment figures as hosts. The reports quickly led to rumors that the actress would make a rare appearance in a variety show, something she has mostly avoided doing throughout her career.

In a statement sent to TenAsia, a person who worked on the movie addressed the rumors.

A spokesperson cleared up the rumors about the appearances, "Nothing has been decided yet regarding Jun Ji-hyun, Koo Kyo-hwan , and Ji Chang-wook's appearance on the YouTube channels ' Pinggyego ' and 'Channel 15ya - Wagle Wagle'."

The same source stressed that talks are still going on.In a follow-up statement, the official said, "Since it is still in the discussion stage, nothing has been confirmed."

"Pinggyego," hosted by Yoo Jae-suk on the YouTube channel Tteun Tteun, and "Wagle Wagle," a talk show segment on Channel 15ya led by producer Na Young-seok, are two of the possible programs that were mentioned. Both platforms are known for having famous guests and creating viral moments.

There has been a lot of talk about Jun possibly taking part, especially since she has a long history of staying somewhat separate from both traditional and online variety shows. People who follow the industry say that her last big appearance in this kind of content got a lot of attention.

In 2025, she was on the web variety show "Study King: Real Genius Hong Jin-kyung," which was a rare break from her usual quiet public image. Fans and viewers were already excited about that appearance, which set a higher standard for any future ones.

"The Hive" is set to come out in May, and Jun plays Kwon Se-jung, a biotechnologist who leads a group of survivors. The movie's premise, which includes evolving infected threats and limited survival, has already gotten a lot of attention before it comes out.

While we wait for confirmation of her variety appearances, the ongoing talks show that Jun may be changing how she interacts with the public.
