OH MY GIRL Binnie Confirmed as The Lead in The Upcoming Web Drama "Sometoon 2020"
Countless K-pop idols have been casted in dramas and movies, and some have proven that their artistry can extend up to being able to act onscreen. Called the "act-dols," the list of idols venturing into the K-drama or K-movie industry to showcase what more they can offer, and it has been announced that OH MY GIRL's Binnie has been added to the list.
OH MY GIRL Binnie Confirmed as The Lead in The Upcoming Web Drama "Sometoon 2020"
On June 8, WM Entertainment officially announced that the female idol will play a lead role in the web drama "Sometoon X Oh My Girl." The label added that she will be performing the OST for this project.
KToon Webtoon "Sometoon X Oh My Girl" is about the seven members of the group OH MY GIRL themselves, but this specific show will solely be focused on Binnie's story. It will be the basis for "Sometoon 2020."
The story will revolve on Seo Ye Jin (Binnie), a college student who loves small things and enjoys every bit of it. She then meets an internet friend named "Friendly Brick." Surprisingly, she met two online men who are somewhat similar to "Friendly Brick," and she has to figure which is the real one. Her personal reasoning will bring her to her real online pal.
Binnie will portray a girl with bright charms. She was once a child actress and model, who originally appeared in minor roles as a child in the dramas, namely "Sungkyunkwan Scandal," "King of Baking Kim Takgu," "I Love You, Don't Cry," "More Charming by the Day," and "Beethoven Virus."
In a press conference after her agency's confirmation, Binnie talked about her leading role, how excited she is, and expressed her thanks to the director, cast, and her members.
She commented that she is grateful that she was given such a good opportunity, adding that she could learn and experience a lot of things. Binnie also thanked the director and the cast who wholeheartedly loved and helped her.
The idol continued that her members enthusiastically cheered for her by sending her messages and wishing her luck. She also shared asking about the content of the drama, and with that, she could film with a reassured heart.

OH MY GIRL, or OMG, is a South Korean seven-membered group formed under WM Entertainment.
Binnie's short hair is her trademark since her debut, plus her pure charms and feminine look. Viewers will surely be captivated by her beauty in the upcoming web drama.
On June 16, you can watch Binnie every Tuesday and Wednesday at 11:00 am KST through the Seezn app. Also, after a week, you can watch Binnie's drama on the "Real Ending" YouTube channel every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:00 pm KST that will be on June 23.
Further, the YouTube channel plans to conduct a poll for the audience to choose the male lead and the ending of the drama.
