These Korean celebrities previously had different jobs before they made their official debut in the entertainment business!
Not all celebrities started in the entertainment business at a young age. Some of them even earned a living by doing their jobs like what normal people do sans the glitz and glam. While a lot of the Korean stars have had jobs related to their field, some, however, had some different jobs before being involved in the entertainment industry.
Here are some of the celebs that had one of a kind jobs before their debut.
1. Won Bin
South Korean actor Won Bin was born as Kim Do Jin on November 10, 1977. He became well known in the year 2000's after starring in the KBS's television series titled "Autumn in My Heart."
Before he became an actor, he wanted to be a car mechanic. During his high school days, he worked on fixing plenty of cars and even graduated from a high school focusing on car mechanics and repair.
2. Han Ye Seul
American-born South Korean actress Han Ye Seul was born as Leslie Kim on September 18, 1981. Before her acting debut, Han Ye Seul was once was a reporter for SBS's Night of TV Entertainment. She made her acting debut in "Nonstop 4" (2003)
3. Yoon Sang Hyun
South Korean actor and singer Yoon Sang Hyun was born on September 21, 1973. He became famous for his roles in "My Fair Lady" (2009), "Queen of Housewives" (2009), "I Can Hear Your Voice" (2013), "Secret Garden" (2011).
Yoon Sang Hyun made his showbiz debut a bit late - at age 32. He used to run a small snake bar, selling dduk-bok-ki, odeng, and some fest-food in front of Woman's University before becoming a well-known celebrity.
4. Jin Ki Joo
Jin Ki Joo was born on January 26, 1989. She portrayed some supporting roles in television dramas, namely "Second 20s," "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo," and "Misty." The actress had numerous jobs before hitting the showbiz. She was formerly an employee at Samsung SDS, a reporter, and even entered the world of modeling.
5. Kim Jun Ho
Also known as Charlie Kim, Kim Jun Ho is a South Korean comedian, singer, and TV personality. He was born on December 25, 1975. He was featured in Gag Concert since 1999 and was a member of the variety show 2 Days & 1 Night (2013-2019). Kim Jun Ho formerly worked as a part-timer at a lingerie store.
6. Jung Hyung Don
Comedian and TV host Jung Hyung-don was born on February 7, 1978. He became known for his roles on the variety shows "Infinite Challenge" and "Weekly Idol." Before becoming a celebrity, his previous job was an employee for Samsung Electronics for many years.
7. Pyo Ye Jin
Before her debut as an actress, Pyo Ye Jin once worked as a lovely flight attendant.
