"Unfamiliar Family" Recap: A Second Chance to Give Love Back

Jin Sook is excited to wear her new dress and met Sang Shik but things weren't the way they expected. Sang Shik fell down the road. Luckily, he woke up half-dizzy as Jin Sook assisted him.

The doctors advised them to get an MRI to get more accurate results. Sang Shik decided not to tell the children to not make them worry. Jin Sook did not argue with him as well. They set up another meeting with the doctors for the results and possible surgery.

Eun Joo and Tae Hyun have decided to pursue their divorce and will settle with all their properties. Tae Hyun chose to close the hospital and continue to work as a doctor.

Meanwhile, Chan Yuk went out with Mr. Im to discuss more of the collaboration with the publishing company. They became more at ease while setting plans for the future.

Ji Woo saw his parents together, saying their goodbyes after a long day. He's happy thinking about them on good terms. He eagerly reported to his sisters about what happened, but they didn't comment since each one was busy with their worries.

Chan Hyuk is preparing to pass his driver's license exam. Eun Hee accompanied him at the testing center. With her help, she passed the actual driving test. 

Eun Joo tried to tell Jin Sook about her upcoming divorce but Eun Hee makes their meeting as a family bonding with Ji Woo. After a few days, Tae Hyun decided to apologize and inform Jin Sook together with Ji Woo. Jin Sook cried hard and felt sad about their decision. Eun Joo convinces her mother to keep the news between them.

Since their college days, they chose to stay as friends and support each other. Chan Hyuk finally expresses her feelings towards Eun Hee. He slowly told Eun Hee that someday, they could be more than friends and get along well. Eun Hee didn't dwell on the topic and chose to keep her thoughts.

Sang Sik is scheduled for major surgery because of an asymptomatic brain tumor. Jin Sook decided to sold her husband trailer truck. She plans after the operation to let him stay in the house to recover. 

On the other hand, Ji Woo met a woman on an online game portal. She lives in the US and his been attracted to her since grade school. They got in contact again after a long time. After a few talks, he decided to send her money and bought a ring. 

He plans to settle down and live a life away from his family. Ji Woo bought a ticket and flew to the US without giving her sister and parents a word. Chan Hyuk received the message as he was about to board the plane.

Chan Hyuk tried to contact him but it was too late. He contacted Eun Hee and informed her about her brother's decision. Eun hee felt devastated with the news. She felt guilty and failed to give her brother more attention. Chan Hyuk comforted her and assured that Ji Woo is an adult and responsible for his decision.

Eun Joo's mother-in-law is a respected doctor at the hospital where Sang Shik is admitted. She told her about seeing Eun Joo's parents looking sad and confused. Eun Joo contacted Eun Hee and went to the hospital.

It was Sang Shik's scheduled operation. The doctors completed the procedure but mentioned that Sang's tumor was complicated. Jin Sook and the sisters came to see him at the ICU but his vital sign stopped. The doctors tried to revive him, while the family cried in desperation as they watched their father on the verge of death.
