Kim Byung Chul Confirmed to Act in Upcoming Netflix Zombie Drama “All Of Us Are Dead”
The upcoming Netflix zombie drama, "All Of Us Are Dead," is based on a popular and fan-favorite webtoon by Joo Dong Geun. It revolves around a group of high school students who got stuck in their school campus while a zombie outbreak spreads within South Korea.
It features the survival skills of these high school students while they experience many life or death situations as they try to escape the zombies. Little do they know that several people are also going into extreme lengths to get them out of the zombie flooded campus.
Kim Byung Chul will be portraying the students' science teacher named Byung Chan who suffers to help his students escape and stay alive.
The versatility of Kim Byung Chul is quite known to viewers because of his roles in dramas that contain a variety of genres. His characters include a colonel from romance drama "Descendants of the Sun," a ghost in "Guardian: The Lonely and Great God," and a stern father in hit series "Sky Castle."
The actor has proven himself to have such tremendous acting talent. His flexibility in acting surely paid off when the actor received a "Best Supporting Actor Award" for his portrayal in "Sky Castle" in the 2019 Baeksang Arts Awards. His other recent works in 2019 include "Doctor Prisoner," and "Pegasus Market."
In the upcoming zombie drama, we are lucky enough to witness Kim Byung Chul's laudable skill.
Other confirmed cast members that will be starring in the zombie drama are the male and female leads, Yoon Chang Young is known for his portrayal in "Nobody Knows," and Park Ji Hoo who is famous for her work in "Beautiful World."
Yoon Chang Young will be portraying Lee Cheong San, and Park Ji Hoo will be portraying Nam On Jo. The actors who will play the role of their classmates who got stuck with them are Jo Yi Hyun, Choi Nam Ra, Yoo In Soo, Lee Su Hyuk, Lee Chae Eun, Seo Hyo Ryung, Kim Jin Young.
In addition to the list of casts, actor Woo Ji Hyun from "A Piece of Your Mind" will also be taking on the role of Woo Shin, who is an added character to the story and is not part of the original webtoon.
According to sources, actor Oh Hee Joon will also be acting in the zombie drama without a confirmed role yet.
The script of the upcoming series "All of Us Are Dead" is written by screenwriter Chun Sung Il from "Your Honor" (2018). It will be co-directed by director Lee Jae Kyu who is known for his work in "The King 2hearts" (2012) and director Kim Nam Soo. The zombie series is said to air on Netflix in the first six months of the year 2021 and will be available in various countries all over the world.
