Idol-actress Seolhyun got embroiled in controversy while appearing in the new drama "Day And Night." Due to this, netizens demand that the actress be taken out of the cast with her being an alleged bystander while a former AOA member was being bullied for ten years.

Prior to the controversies ignited on online communities, AOA's Seolhyun confirmed her appearance in March to portray as Gong Hye Won, a lieutenant at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. Her role is a detective who works hard to resolve a case on her table as the mystery drama unfolds secrets of the incident that happened in a village 26 years ago.

Her co-star Namgoong Min plays as Do Jung Woo, a special detective at the Seoul Metropolitan Police. Another actor in discussion to star is Lee Chung Ah to play as an FBI agent.

Following her appearance, netizens disapproved of her taking part in the drama as a result to Mina's Instagram post where she made shocking revelations about how unfair that Jimin, FNC Entertainment CEO Han Sung Ho, and Seolhyun had a good life while she is at the edge of her depression for what Jimin did to her.

For that reason, netizens then clamored that Seolhyun pulls out of the drama series. Knowing of Seolhyun's character as a police officer, netizens question her credibility and conscience as to how she would convey in the drama.

However, some netizens commented that kicking Seolhyun out of the drama is out of proportion or too far, citing that the actress is not the culprit of the fight between the two girls. There is also a reason and the side of the story behind Seolhyun's stand.

According to tvN network officials, pulling out Seolhyun's role in the upcoming drama series "Day and Night" has a slim chance, considering that the drama is pre-produced with a large part of its scenes.

Currently, Seolhyun, with the other cast, continues to film the remaining scenes as scheduled.

The staff added, "We have made significant progress with most of the scenes already. An option is unless Seolhyun herself will choose to personally leave the drama. In doing this, maybe we can have her appear as scheduled then. But we don't have plans to change what we do at present."

The upcoming drama is lined up to air in the second half of this year. As of this writing, AOA's Seolhyun hasn't released any statement about the controversy. FNC entertainment advised that they have instructed the members not to make any public comment about the issue to avoid further complications.

Mina and Jimin both left the girl group and are now making their recoveries towards the incident.
