Lee Dong Wook will portray Lee Yeon, a male "gumiho" who possesses a stylish and appealing "mountain god" who settles in the city. A "gumiho" is a legendary creature tale in Korea that can transform into other things. The actor previously played the role of a Grim Reaper in the hit Korean drama "Goblin."

Jo Bo Ah portrays Nam Ji Ah, a segment producer that specializes and covers mostly ghost stories. She works hard and is happy-go-lucky to life. Things changed for her when she crossed paths with a "gumiho."

Meanwhile, this is Kim Bum's drama comeback after four years of hiatus. He will play Lee Rang, Lee Dong Wook's half-brother in the drama. He's a dangerous "gumiho" who possesses an erratic personality and brings various conflicts to the couple.

Supporting cast roles include Kim Yong Ji as Yuri, Hwang Hee as Shinju, Kim Jung Nan as Palui Pa, and Ahn Kil Kang as Hyunui Wong.

During the script reading, passing fast-tempo dialogue towards the actors and even improvised ad-libs provided a fun atmosphere for everyone.

Director Kang Shin Hyo, the maker of "The Heirs," reunites with Screenwriter Han Woo Ri, who both worked together in OCN "Children of a Lesser God."

According to the production team, "Tale of the Nine Tailed" will provide a fresh plot and exciting scenes for the viewers. There will be a new set of chemistry and storyline that has never been seen before. The show will premiere in October.
