Popular K-Drama "When I Was The Most Beautiful" Sees Dip in Ratings and Will Not be Airing Today
Wednesday night dramas saw a dip in their ratings, not due to dissatisfaction but because of a widespread change in broadcasting schedule for Chuseok holidays.
According to Nielsen Korea, the September 30 episode of MBC's "When I Was the Most Beautiful" recorded average nationwide ratings of 1.7 and 2.3 percent. The drama started off with ratings of 2.9 percent and recently has recorded as high as 4.7 percent, making this a new personal low for the show.
"When I Was the Most Beautiful" will also not air on October 1 due to Chuseok broadcast changes.
The dip was also largely due to the fact that the "2020 Hangawi Project - Korea Again Na Hoon Ah" aired in the same time slot on KBS. In that program, Korea's beloved veteran trot singer Na Hoon Ah held a TV concert. This was also the singer's first time appearing on TV in 15 years.
As a result, this special recorded average nationwide ratings of 29.0 percent as no one would have missed this broadcast. However, ratings for 'When I Was Beautiful' are sure to rise again owing to the huge number of people that are enjoying the show.
"When I Was The Most Beautiful" is a 2020 South Korean romantic television series starring Im Soo-hyang, Ji Soo, Ha Seok-jin and Hwang Seung-eon. The series tells the story of a woman ceramic artist who falls in love with two brothers. Produced by May Queen Pictures for MBC, it airs on MBC TV on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 21:30 (KST) time slot starting from August 19, 2020.

The drama tells the story Oh Ye Ji (Im Soo Hyang), an art student who dreams of becoming a ceramic artist. She heads to school in Yangpyeong as both a student and a teacher, where she meets brothers Seo Hwan (Ji soo) and Seo Jin (Ha Seok Jin). Hwan, who is Ye Ji's student, falls in love with her and takes her to his father's workshop to confess his feelings.
However, at the workshop, Ye Ji meets Jin. Although Jin is aware of Hwan's feelings toward Ye Ji, Jin does not hesitate to win over Ye Ji's heart and eventually gets engaged to her.
Overnight, those who are meant to be each other's strongest supporters end up becoming the worst enemies thanks to a twist of fate. Straddling desire and love, the three struggle to figure out what's right during the most beautiful of their lives.
