Go Hyun Jung Stars As The Lead Character In JTBC's Upcoming Drama
'Queen Seondeok' actress Go Hyun Jung will be gracing the small screen once again with the new JTBC drama titled 'A Person Similar to You!'
The drama series 'A Person Similar to You' will feature a sad story of an affair, betrayal, corruption, and revenge that will occur upon the meeting of two characters. It will tell the story of a very dedicated woman to her desires and another woman who loses the light in her life due to the other.
Actress Go Hyun Jung is said to star as the lead character named Hee Joo, the woman who is dedicated to her desires. Though she grew up living a poor life and had a competitive childhood, Hee Joo strived hard and eventually becomes a successful artist and essay writer. She then married a successor of a hospital foundation and was able to make a happy family. However, she feels sorry for herself for the meaningless time that has passed that she spent being a mother of two children and a man's wife. Hee Joo's life began to shift when she crosses paths with another woman who shines even in poverty completely.

This drama marks Go Hyun Jung's comeback drama after two years. Portraying the character of Hee Joo, the actress will showcase her character's emotions in complete detail, and the fans and viewers are already excited for her portrayal in the said upcoming drama.
The drama's production team shared that during the time of planning stages, actress Go Hyun Jung was the first celebrity the team has thought of to portray the role. She is the person who could perfectly portray Hee Joo's strong personality and various sides. The trademark portrayal of emotions by Scriptwriter Yoo Bo Ra and Go Hyun Jung's matured acting skills. Director Im Hyun Wook's tasteful directing and the team will do their best to exhibit great synergy. The production team is asking everyone to please show lots of love and interest in the upcoming show.
The drama will be penned by scriptwriter Yoo Bo Ra who also created JTBC's 'Rain or Shine' and KBS's 'Secret' and 'Snowy Road' and will be directed by Hyun Woo, who also handled JTBC's 'A Person You May Know.'
The drama is scheduled to premiere in next year (2021).

South Korean actress Go Hyun Jung was born on March 2, 1971. She started her career in the entertainment business as the runner-up of Miss Korea 1989. Following her debut as Miss Korea, she was then offered to star in Hourglass (1995) which is one of the highest-rated and critically acclaimed dramas in Korean television history. She decided to retire from acting when she married the chaebol Chung Yong-jin in 1995. However, their marriage ended with a divorce in 2003 and the actress decided to continue her acting career. Since her comeback, Go Hyun Jung redeemed her top star status in Korea and became one of the highest-paid actresses on TV after the success of her series Queen Seondeok (2009) and Daemul.
