It's okay to not be okay sometimes but knowing that a huge and legendary recognition has been received by our favorite Korean drama will make us feel more than okay!

Several Korean dramas that aired in 2020 have been receiving a lot of recognition not just in Asia but even in Western countries. And one of the most well-received K-dramas this year made it to the New York Times' top 10 best international shows!

In a news article from E-Daily, one of the most high-end and magnificent dramas for this year is "It's Okay to Not be Okay," which stars prominent actors Kim Soo Hyun, Seo Ye Ji, and Oh Jung Se. The drama was lauded by many, from storyline, cast members, video and graphic effects, and even the chemistry of the cast received a lot of appreciation for their amazing performances.

"It's Okay to Not be Okay" tells the story of Moon Kang Tae (Kim Soo Hyun), who works in the psychiatric ward. He has an older brother named Moon Sang Tae (Oh Jung Se) who has special needs. Meanwhile, Ko Moon Young (Seo Ye Ji), a popular children's book author who is arrogant and rude, crosses paths with Moon Kang Tae and later on found romantic obsession for him.

The three characters suffer from different wounds that had happened in their past. But ever since their lives got entangled, they started to overcome their fears and began to heal their emotional wounds with the help of one another.

The trio made a big impact on the audience. They captured the right emotions and characterization that their roles demanded them to do.

And because of the overall excellent content of the drama, it took as spot in the top 10 best international TV shows by the New York Times.

What's more? "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" also made it to the New York Times' 10 Best TV Shows for 2020, alongside another hit Korean thriller "Kingdom."

Other shows that made it are "Belgravia," "The Bureau," "For Sama," "Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!," "My Brilliant Friend," "Patria," "Mystery Road," and "Temple."

The New York Times also shared, "It's okay though it's about psychology, and Korean produced dramas are wonderfully made because they cater numerous variations on romantic comedies. Humorous and witty. 'It's Okay to Not be Okay" is a drama that combines humour and a dark genre of fairytale sensibility. Actress Seo Ye Ji, who played the role of a writer and showed an amazing rollercoaster of emotions, gives a strong persona in the drama."
