“Reply 1994” Surpasses Its Ratings Records With Latest Episodes

tvN's Friday-Saturday drama "Reply 1994" proves its increasing popularity by breaking its own records.

The November 8 broadcast of the seventh episode garnered a warm response from the viewers, and the drama received an average viewership of 6.2%, with its peak reaching 7.3%. It was the top drama in cable, satellite and IPTV viewership for its timeslot. The rating is a 0.4% increase from the 5.8% average rating of the sixth episode.

For the eighth episode, the drama broke its own records by receiving an average rating of 7.1%, with peak rating of 8.6%. With this, it was able to rank ahead of the dramas of the same timeslot from major stations such as MBC and KBS1.

The drama's predecessor "Reply 1997" had an average viewer rating of 7.6% and peak viewer rating of 9.5%, and given its ratings as of the eighth episode, many fans and viewers believe that "Reply 1994" will surpass the success of the drama before it.

"Reply 1994" is a about the love and friendship of college students from Yonsei University. Fans are looking forward to the romantic love triangle of Na Jung, Chil Bong and Garbage, who are portrayed by Go Ara, Yoo Yeon Suk and Jung Woo, respectively. Many were also surprised by the development between Yoon Jin and Sam Cheon Po, who are portrayed by Dohee and Kim Sung Gyun.
