NCT’s Jaehyun Confesses Why He Chose to Star in New Romance Drama ‘Dear.M'
NCT's Jaehyun expressed his true self in beginning a new journey in the field of acting.
Idol and now actor Jaehyun starts to show more interest in the acting industry. Known for being one of the best members of the famous K-Pop boy group NCT, the 24-year-old artist is finally making his way to build a new career path.
Jaehyun Will Finally Making His Debut as an Actor
Having perfect visuals and impressive skills made Jaehyun stand out in front of the crowd. From being an idol who sings and dances on stage to being an actor who is now ready to explore the other side of the entertainment industry. The NCT member is grateful and happy to be able to pursue one of his dreams.
In a recent report on Feb 15 from a media outlet, Jaehyun participated in an interview and shared some details for his upcoming drama "Dear.M."
The idol-turned-actor is about to portray the role of Cha Min Ho in the said series. A computer engineering student who is in his sophomore year. He is always at the top of his class, a bright and easygoing guy.
The Perfect Time to Pursue Acting According to Jaehyun
As the interview started, Jaehyun mentioned that if he is given a chance to act, he wanted to play a role that shows the new side of himself. And with that being said, his first drama character as Cha Min Ho, is the perfect role for Jaehyun to establish his presence in front of the camera as a new actor. He also said that Cha Min Ho is amazing and has an appealing personality.

Jaehyun also added, "Considering that 'Dear.M' is a drama that will show the story of young adults and takes place on a university campus, I decided to grab the opportunity of accepting the project especially at this time of my life." For Jaehyun, as a person who is living in his twenties, it is the perfect time for him to portray a role where he can easily relate to.
When talking about the character of Cha Min Ho, the artist said "For Cha Min Ho, the heart is more important than the mind. One of his best personalities comes out every time he is being sincere." Jaehyun went on, "As time goes by Cha Min Ho's perspectives towards love and dreams will gradually change. For me, it is important to express these changes in emotions well."
The "Dear.M" actor also shared about his chemistry towards onscreen partner Park Hye Soo, who will be playing the role of Ma Joo Ah, Cha Min Ho's best friend for 12 years. According to Jaehyun, "It was difficult at first to act because it was my first time. But as we continue to work on, Park Hye Soo and I started to build a good teamwork." He also appreciates actress Park Hye Soo for being considerate during work and making it possible to establish good chemistry on screen.
Before the interview ended, Jaehyun shared a short message to fans and viewers, "I hope you can relate and enjoy the story of young adults of Seoyeon's University. Even though this is my first time to act, I will continue to try my best to give you more good performances. Please look forward to Cha Min Ho as well as to my future projects."
Meanwhile, the drama also unveiled a new poster showing the life of these young adults inside the classroom.
