K-Drama 'Navillera' Introduces Seo In Guk as Ballet Dancer Hwang Hee

Before transforming into a mythical creature in "Doom at Your Service," Seo In Guk is set to become a ballerino star in "Navillera" alongside Song Kang and Park in Hwan.

Over tvN's official Instagram, the broadcasting network teased the viewers with a special cameo of the 33-year-old actor as he turned into a professional ballet dancer.

Based on the still cuts released by tvN, it appears that he is inside Ki Seung Joo's (Kim Tae Hoon) ballet studio. Seo In Guk will portray the role of Hwang Hee, a graceful pro ballet dancer that captivated his audience with his graceful and elegant moves. His expertise wowed not only the crowd but also the 70-year-old amateur dancer Sim Deok Chul, played by Park In-Hwan, who was starstruck by his flawless performance.

Seo In Guk Vs. Song Kang: Who Will Be the Best Ballerino

"Navillera" episode 9 is set to feature the subtle riff between the new character and his junior Lee Chae Rok, portrayed by Song Kang. This will leave the fans wondering what will be the reason behind the duo's misunderstanding.

Earlier this month, it was confirmed that the "Superstar K" alum would have a special appearance in tvN's drama, although, at that time, it has not been announced what character Seo In Guk will portray.

To recall, he is connected to "Navillera" director Han Dong Hwa, as the two previously worked in the 2016 comedy-drama "Squad 38."

At the time, the "Navillera" producers pointed out the unique chemistry that the singer-turned actor built in the set and together with the cast members.

In addition, they also thanked the "Shopping King Louie" star for accepting to cameo part. "We'd like to thank Seo In Guk for taking time out of his busy schedule to come."

Sim Deok Chul Gets a Special Visit

Aside from the new character, "Navillera" episode 9 will also showcase the support of Mr. Sim's youngest son, Sim Seong Gwan, played by Jo Bok Rae.

After ditching his profession as a surgeon, he realized that he wanted to become a filmmaker.

Initially, he wanted to make a documentary about his first patient, who unfortunately died while being operated by him.

Interestingly, the new "Navillera" teaser showed Sim Deok Chul gracefully dancing at the ballet studio alongside his teacher, Chase Rok, while being filmed by Seong Gwan.

"My father is the main character from today," the caption reads.

Slowly, the Sim family has finally accepted that the 70-year-old patriarch is passionate about ballet and is eager to learn the art despite his age.

Unfortunately, the conflict rises after Lee Chae Rok learns about his illness. Sim Deok Chul is suffering from Alzheimer's disease, and it's only he who knew about his condition.

This raised the question of how Mr. Sim will inform his family about his illness, or will it be Chae Rok who will disclose the devastating news to the family.
