Confirmed! ‘Vincenzo’ Star Taecyeon & ‘Extraordinary You’ Actress Kim Hye Yoon to Lead the New Rom-Com Drama
A new historical drama, starring Ok Taecyeon and actress Kim Hye Yoon, will greet the viewers in the second half of 2021!
2PM's Taecyeon and Kim Hye Yoon Confirmed as Lead Actors in tvN's "Tale of the Secret Royal Inspector and Jo Yi"
In a new media report, it has been confirmed that idol-turned-actor Ok Taecyeon and rising actress Kim Hye Yoon will be leading the new mystery-historical drama, "Tale of the Secret Royal Inspector and Jo Yi."
It is about the brilliant but idle secret agent, and a newly divorced woman who still hopes to find her happiness one day.
2PM member Ok Taecyeon is expected to portray Ra Yi Eon, a civil servant agent in his sixth grade. He dreamt of selling dumplings in a small shop in the future, but due to his intelligence, Ra Yi Eon received an offer as a civil servant agent with a high position.
The smart civil servant agent leaves his workplace on time and enjoys staying in his house while snacking on steamed dumplings.
Meanwhile, opposite him is Kim Hye Yoon. The "Extraordinary You" star will be playing the role of Kim Jo Yee, who spends her life having a not-so-ordinary mindset. She always thinks that when you are married having a divorce is just a normal thing to do.
Because of this mindset, her personality shows that she holds beliefs way ahead of her time.
This new forthcoming series offers a new variety of entertainment for the audience. Viewers will soon meet the investigative teamwork of an indolent but smart civil servant agent, Ra Yi Eon, and a curious, frivolous divorcee woman Jo Yee.
Kim Hye Yoon and Ok Taecyeon's Previous Dramas
After his outstanding performance in "Vincenzo," "Bring it on, Ghost," and "Save Me," Taecyeon will return on the small screen through the new tvN drama.
This time, he will no longer be the crazy and psychopath villain to torture his people. The 2PM member will show different charms as he plays the role of a civil secret agent.

Ok Taecyeon's label 51k Official also shared the good news on their Instagram.
Because of Kim Hye Yoon's laudable acting in "Extraordinary You," the 24-year-old star received the Best New Actress Award and Excellent Actress Award in 2019 MBC Drama Awards.
She also took home the Best New Actress Award for the series "Sky Castle" during the 55th Baeksang Arts Awards in 2019.
