Lee Dong Hwi, Jeon Yeo Bin Partner Up for "Glitch"

Lee Dong Hwi starred in "Reply 1988" between 2015 and 2016, but it was only recently when it was streamed on Netflix and garnered worldwide fans. On the other hand, Jeon Yeo Bin was in the recently-concluded series." Vincenzo," whose fans are still reeling from the finale and having some withdrawal over the show's ending.

According to a report by News Naver, Lee Dong Hwi's role will be Jeon Yeo Bin's character's boyfriend. This is an interesting pairing, indeed. Jeon Yeo Bin, on the other hand, earlier confirmed her participation through an Instagram post herself.

On May 16, she even took to the same account to share a photo of the show's script, which means there is no longer stopping the show from happening.

"Glitch" refers to the upcoming K-drama series to be distributed through Netflix, directed by Roh Deok.

Deok is the director of various successful projects, such as "Very Ordinary Couple," "Temperature of Love," among others. Behind the scrip is the writer Jin Han Sae, most known for being behind another Netflix's Original Series, "Extracurricular."

What is Netflix's "Glitch" All About?

"Glitch," first and foremost, is a thriller. Despite the news of Lee Dong Hwi and Jeon Yeo Bin being partners for this series, this series cannot be classified as a romance. The two would not even be seen together that much, probably except for flashbacks, because the series will be about a woman searching for her missing boyfriend.

Her boyfriend suddenly vanished one night in a flash of unknown lights. Given her drive to look for her lover, she worked with UFO watchers to unveil the truth behind a mysterious secret surrounding her boyfriend and more.

Jeon Yeo Bin has recently gained a huge following because of her role in "Vincenzo" - the love interest of Song Joong-Ki, no less. The new drama will be her biggest break, though, since she's the lead star.

Although this is a Netflix Original, this is also in partnership with the local South Korean network, tVN. Both the production companies will distribute the show. Netflix can get international fans for the show, but tVN will make the show accessible to everyone in the nation through its cable network.

Lee Dong Hwi in "Reply 1988"

Before streaming on Netflix became such a norm, Lee Dong Hwi already had a sizable fan base because of his role in "Reply 1988". The show was televised between 2015 and 2016.

A testament to how big the show got is how the cast members, including Lee Dong Hwi, broke the internet by having a mini-reunion in 2020. He posted a photo of them together on social media, and the post quickly became viral.
