Jang Ki Yong’s Agency YG Entertainment Responds to Dating Rumors with Former Olympic Gymnast Son Yeon Jae
Jang Ki Yong's agency addressed the rumors regarding his alleged relationship with former pro-gymnast Son Yeon Jae.
Rumor sparked that the "My Roommate is a Gumiho" star is dating the 27-year-old athlete after the duo uploaded a series of photos showing the seaside view of Busan over their social media.
With this, fans speculate that Jang Ki Yong might be seeing the former Olympic gymnast. Interestingly, his agency YG Entertainment shut down rumors and denied that the 28-year-old South Korean actor is dating Son Yeon Jae.
Moreover, the management also revealed that he is not an acquaintance of the athlete turned actress.
"Actor Jang Ki Yong says he and Son Yeon Jae do not know each other."
YG Entertainment explained Jang Ki Yong's Instagram photo saying that it was taken during his shoot in Busan.
"The photo in question was taken when he went to Busan to film the drama "Now, We Are Breaking Up.'"
This statement was echoed by Son Yeon Jae's agency, who also denied the dating issue.
"As a result of checking with Son Yeon Jae, she and Jang Ki Yong do not know each other at all," the management explained as cited by a South Korean outlet.

Jang Ki Yong's Girlfriends: Did He Dated Actress Lee Ye Na?
Aside from the former athlete, Jang Ki Yong was rumored to be dating Lee Ye Na.
In 2018, multiple outlets noted that the actor is in a romantic relationship with the "Angel's Last Mission: Love" actress after a photo of the two circulated online.
This was when the "Born Again" star and Lee Ye Na went on a vacation in Thailand in 2017.
However, YG entertainment set the record straight and revealed that they have broken up.
On the other hand, Lee Ye Na's agency expressed the same standing adding that the actress will be more active now in the industry.
"After confirming directly with him, we just found out that they have broken up. They decided to remain close friends. Please give support to him, as from now on he will be more active as an actress. "
Jang Ki Yong Described his "Ideal Girl"
Amid the issue regarding Jang Ki Yong's rumored girlfriend, Jang Ki Yong shared in his previous interview the characteristics of his ideal type.
During the casual talk, he mentioned that he wants someone who has a "bubbly" personality and is easy to get along.
"I like it when two of us can simply do whatever things we like. I want to spend time going to a theme park, walking around the park, and so on," he explained.
Jang Ki Yong to Star in "Now, We Are Breaking Up" Opposite Song Hye Kyo
As for his new project, the 28-year-old actor is set to appear in an upcoming drama "Now, We Are Breaking Up."
He will be joined by the powerhouse cast, including Choi Hee Seo, Kim Joo Heon and Hallyu star Song Hye Kyo.
Helmed by" Dr. Romantic 2" director Lee Gil Bok, the forthcoming Korean drama "Now, We Are Breaking Up" is scheduled to premiere on November 12 on SBS every Friday and Saturday.
