We know him for being the strongest member of the longtime running variety show Running Man, but despite his comic skills, Kim Jong Kook takes no funny business when it comes to maintaining his healthy and fit body.
On June 17, Kim Jung Kook officially launched his YouTube account, titled Gym Jong Kook, which goes in sync with his healthy and buff figure. Apart from his laudable physique, the witty account name instantly garnered attention from fans.
It was exactly 6 p.m. (KST) when the Here I Am singer released his first-ever video on his channel. And in less than 24 hours, it already amassed 200,000 subscribers! This record also makes him eligible to get the silver button anytime soon.
Alongside the video, Kim Jong Kook wrote a message that reads, "I finally opened my own YouTube channel." He also comically shared that the only license that his newly released channel has to show is his gym activities.
Kim Jong Kook told his fans and future audience that he will work hard to use his channel to communicate with them and share various content in the future.
He went on, "Instead of evaluating me based on my body appearance, I hope that you will also see my sincerity and consistency when it comes to exercise!"
It seems like the Running Man host wanted to share his workout routine to everyone for them to gain confidence and also learn from his healthy lifestyle. He aims to show that having a healthy body comes with focus and discipline.
He also shared the good news on his official Instagram account and received lots of hearts from the fans.

Kim Jong Kook Makes Thoughtful Gift to Lee Kwang Soo
Kim Jong Kook showed his sweet gestures to his former co-host and real-life friend Lee Kwang Soo. During Lee Kwang Soo's last appearance in Running Man, the cast gave their handwritten letters to the departing member.
Aside from the messages that Lee Kwang Soo received from his members, Kim Jong Kook also gave him a heartwarming portrait he made on the spot. This made everyone shed tears during the broadcast and even the viewers and avid Running Man fans were touched.
