tvN Drops First Set of ‘Yumi’s Cells’ Stills Starring Kim Go Eun

And as we welcome the month of July, K-drama fans also have the chance to get a glimpse of tvN's upcoming series "Yumi's Cells."
On July 1, based on the report produced by Sports Seoul, one of the leading Korean broadcasting companies, tvN made a surprise move and finally released two photos of actress Kim Go Eun.
TVING original series "Yumi's Cells" will be released simultaneously on tvN in the second half of 2021. And just before it hit primetime, they already unveiled the first-ever still cuts of the said drama.
The "The King: Eternal Monarch" star transformed into a warm and bright average office worker named Yumi. Looking calm and casual, Kim Go Eun is fully immersed in her new drama role.

Yumi's Short Hair will be the Trademark of Her Character
Now that Kim Go Eun is making her comeback on the small screen, K-drama viewers are now looking forward to seeing the actress' transformation. Different from her previous character appearances, Kim Go Eun will be meeting the audience with black short hair, which is said to be Yumi's trademark.
The story concept for the drama is new and expected to bring fun to future drama audiences.
In fact, one of the representatives from the production team of "Yumi's Cells" shared, "We began filming in April, and both the actors and staff are working hand in hand to produce high quality of work." He added, "The viewers should look forward to Kim Go Eun's acting performance, she will build a natural and comforting character that will surely be loved by many."
Kim Go Eun's New Reality Show "Sea of Hope"
Meanwhile, before she returns on the drama scene, actress Kim Go Eun already made her tv appearance last June 29 JTBC's new reality show "Sea of Hope."
Along with the known celebrities in the industry, namely Lee Ji Ah, SHINee's Onew, Yoon Jung Shin, and Lee Su Hyun, Kim Go Eun got to spend most of her precious days with the cast and crew of the said show. She also reunited with Lee Dong Wook, her former co-actor in the hit 2016 series "Goblin."
They already had BLACKPINK's Rosé as their first special guest.
