SF9 Chani Shares His Honest Thoughts on His First Romance Comedy ‘Jinx,’ His Experience Working With WJSN Eunseo and More
SF9 Chani recently talked about his latest romance comedy drama "Jinx," and his experience on taking on his first lead role. He also talked about his future plans as an actor.
SF9 Chani Shares Honest Thoughts on Romance Comedy 'Jinx'
Kakao TV's original fantasy romance comedy depicts the story of Kyu Han, played by SF9 Chani, who is an ordinary student who is cursed with a sneezing jinx. When he sneezes, things go exactly the opposite of what he wants, putting him into a tight position in his day-to-day life.
Apart from that, he is also stuck in the unreciprocated romance department with his long-time crush Se Kyung, played by WJSN Eunseo.
"Jinx" served a fun and unique fantasy drama, which depicted relatable characters that resonated with the viewers.
SF9 Chani revealed that filming his first romance comedy during a pandemic was difficult, but he tried his best to come up with a great project.
He said, "I enjoyed filming the drama. I also had fun watching it. Apart from the experiences, the memories I created with my fellow actors who were my age, producers and staff are invaluable."

SF9 Chani also shared his thoughts on his role and how he prepared for it. "The role was very charming, having a superpower coming out after sneezing was quite unique. I had to think of the opposite of what I wanted but there were times when I would get flustered because of confusion."
"Since I need to sneeze a lot in the drama, I worked on the image of my sneezing," he admitted, laughing.
SF9 Chani on the Rom-Com Genre and Working With WJSN Eunseo
"Romance comedy is a genre I longed to try. Luckily, I was offered the role and at the same time, I had really fun," he said.
SF9 Chani said he underestimated the genre, soon realizing that it was harder than he thought. He added, "I tried my best to portray the emotion of love as effectively as I could."
The actor also shared his thoughts on his co-star, WJSN Eunseo, "She [WJSN Eunseo] was about my age, so it wasn't hard to communicate with her. At the beginning, we were awkward but soon became close as the filming continued."
SF9 Chani's Plans For the Future as an Actor
When asked about his future plans and goals as an actor, SF9 Chani said, "I'd do it if it's a good project."
The singer and actor said he'd do a project in a heartbeat if the script and character were well-written. However, he would also do anything as he doesn't want to limit himself.
SF9 Chani wants to do a variety of acting performances with different roles who have their own charming qualities.

He concluded, "I'm grateful for the viewers who supported "Jinx" until the end. I hope it will always be remembered by many. I will see you soon with another project as a new character."
On the other hand, Chani and his group, SF9, are set to release its 10th mini album "Rumination" with its lead single "Trauma" on November 22 at 6:00 p.m. KST.
