Go Kyung Pyo Reportedly to Join Jung Hae In in Miike Takashi’s Mystery Drama ‘Connect’

Go Kyung Pyo might have his immediate drama comeback with "Connect." JTBC news reported that Go Kyung Pyo is in talks to lead the forthcoming Kdrama "Connect," alongside fellow "D.P." actor Jung Hae In. 

Jung Hae In to Reunite with Go Kyung Pyo in 'Connect'

A media insider announced on November 22 that the "Chicago Typewriter" actor is courted to appear in Miike Takashi's first Kdrama project. As a Japanese director, it will be great opportunity to work with two of the known amazing actors in Korean entertainment today.

In September, Jung Hae In was the first artist who was reported to appear in Miike Takashi's drama. His agency FNC Entertainment confirmed that the actor received a casting offer to lead "Connect."

Ryu Jun Yeol, a former co-star of Go Kyung Pyo in "Reply 1988," was also said to join but due to some reasons, the actor was confirmed not to appear in the series.

Go Kyung Pyo and Jung Hae In already worked together in Netflix's original series "D.P." last August. 

'Connect' to Start Production by the End of 2021

Mystery drama "Connect" tells the story of a man who has lost a part of his body by organ hunters, and will be connected to a person who received his organ transplant.

In addition to the report, the production plans to start filming by the end of 2021. Miike Takashi who is about to make his debut as a Kdrama director, has already finished compelling movies such as "Audition," "13 Assassins," and "Ichi the Killer." His primary genres are mystery and suspense. 

Go Kyung Pyo Update: Previous and Upcoming Works 

Meanwhile, Go Kyung Pyo's recent work appearances were in "D.P." along with Jung Hae In and Hyeri's romance fantasy drama "My Roommate is a Gumiho," it was also their reunion following their hit series "Reply 1988."

The 31-year-old actor is part of the star-studded cast of the upcoming film "Seoul Vibe" which marks his silver screen comeback. He will reunite with Yoo Ah In, whom he collaborated with in "Chicago Typewriter," other cast includes Lee Kyu Hyung, Park Ju Hyun, Ong Seong Wu, Kim Sung Kyun, Jung Woong In, and Moon So Ri.

"Seoul Vibe" is slated to premiere in the last quarter of 2021.

Go Kyung Pyo also has another forthcoming comedy-adventure movie "6/45."
