JTBC's forthcoming romance drama "Snowdrop" unveiled a set of new behind-the-scenes photos featuring the cast who showed off their acting abilities in the drama's first script reading.

The first drama script reading was attended by the lead stars Jung Hae In, BLACKPINK Jisoo, and Jang Seung Jo.

JTBC's forthcoming romantic drama "Snowdrop" starring Jung Hae In and BLACKPINK Jisoo held its first script reading and released exclusive photos of the actors on November 29.

The script reading begins with director Jo Hyun Tak's lead, saying, "I will be a director you can comfortably talk to about anything."

Followed by scriptwriter Yoo Hyun Mi who reveals her deep feelings for the drama, "I've had this work in my heart for 12 years. I will work really hard for this project."

In the first script reading, Jung Hae In and BLACKPINK Jisoo wowed the production team and other cast with their immersive acting and excellent portrayal of their respective roles.

Jung Hae In plays the role of the graduate student Im Soo Ho, who came back from Germany. Despite his warm aura, he keeps a lot of secrets. The actor describes his character as "a person that is always caught up in a series of tangled events."

He then expresses his gratitude to the scriptwriter and director, as well as his seniors, saying, "I was able to participate in this event with ease thanks to the director, scriptwriter and my co-stars."

On the other hand, English major freshman student Eun Young Ro is played by BLACKPINK Jisoo. She is a fine young woman who gets entangled in an incident with Soo Ho.

Jisoo teases fans by saying, "Please look forward to seeing what happened to Soo Ho and Young Ro."

"Snowdrop" marks her first commercial television project. Jisoo added, "Everyone treated me nicely and comfortably. They cheered me on a lot. It energized me."

Meanwhile, Jang Seung Jo, who boasted his charisma in dramas "Encounter" and "The Good Detective," takes on the role of the stubborn team leader of the National Security Planning Agency Investigation Unit.

Yoon Se Ah, who recently showed off her versatility as a heroine and villain in the tvN series "The Road: Tragedy of One," transforms into dorm inspector Pi Seung Hee.

"Extraordinary You" actress Kim Hye Yoon diversifies her role as she participates in the drama as the dorm phone operator Gye Book Ok. She dished out her expectations from the drama, saying, "I'm grateful to be included in such a masterpiece. I think I will be able to learn a lot from this drama."

Furthermore, veteran stars Jung Yoo Jin, Heo Joon Ho, Kim Jung Nan, Park Sung Woong and Jung Hye Young also join the drama, strengthening it with their experiences.

"Snowdrop" is set in 1987 in Seoul and follows the love story between Im Soo Ho, a student at a well-known university who rushes into a women's university drenched in blood, and Eun Young Ro, a student at the women's university who hides and takes care of him despite the risk.

The new JTBC drama is slated to air for the first time on JTBC on December 18 at 10:30 p.m. KST. It will also be available on Disney Plus for worldwide streaming.
