Shim Dal Gi Dishes Out Honest Feelings Over Drama ‘Shadow Beauty’ Conclusion, Talks About Her Character, Co-Stars and More
Shim Dal Gi, who successfully led the recently concluded Kakao TV drama "Shadow Beauty," shared her honest thoughts on the ending of the drama, her character and fellow stars!
Shim Dal Gi on the Conclusion of 'Shadow Beauty'
Helmed by filmmaker and screenwriter Bae Soo In, "Shadow Beauty" successfully wrapped up with 13 amazing episodes on December 29.
Lead actress Shim Dal Gi shared her thoughts on its conclusion. Through her agency, Saram Entertainment, the actress said, "The drama is over but I don't think 13 episodes is that long. Although I regret it, I'm very happy to be able to work with a great director, staff and actors who worked very hard for the drama."
In the drama, Shim Dal Gi played the role of Goo Ae Jin, a high school girl who is often ostracized at school but lives a secret life as a hot celebrity with 770,000 followers on social media.
The actress showed a wide spectrum of emotions as she depicted Goo Ae Jin's double life through her firm eyes and detailed facial expressions. Shim Dal Gi is even praised by Ah Reum, the writer of the webtoon "Shadow Beauty" where the drama was based on, saying, "As the drama progressed, the more I see that Shim Dal Gi is the perfect fit in portraying Goo Ae Jin."

When asked about Shim Dal Gi's character, she described her as "a character who went through a lot."
Almost in every episode, Shim Dal Gi has to act in tears. "Every episode is different but the emotion I had to portray everytime is fear. Anywhere but their house, Goo Ae Jin is terrified," she added.

The actress also shared her impressions and acting experiences with her fellow lead actors. She said, "Bomin and I had really great acting experience because I think he's a very great actor to begin with."

Meanwhile, actress Shim Dal Gi is set to return to the small screen with Disney+ original series "Moving" with Han Hyo Joo, Ryu Seung Ryong, Jo In Sung and Cha Tae Hyun.
Helmed by director Park In Je, "Moving" follows the fantastic stories of three young adults who possess superpowers in a world full of mundaneness.
"Moving" will be available on Disney+ in the first half of 2022.
