‘Thirty-Nine’ Stars Son Ye Jin, Jeon Mi Do, Kim Ji Hyun Flaunt Decade Long Friendship in New Stills
JTBC shared a glimpse of Son Ye Jin, Jeon Mi Do and Kim Ji Hyun's journey of friendship and love in the new Kdrama "Thirty-Nine."
The broadcast network teased fans with heartwarming photos featuring the trio as they gear up for the much-awaited release date.
Directed by the genius behind "Age of Youth 2" Kim Sang Ho and penned by "Run Off," "Encounter" and "Miracle in Cell No. 7" screenwriter Yoo Young Ah, "Thirty-Nine" follows the story of three women who are all on the brink of turning 40.
As they bid goodbye to their thirties and welcome another chapter in their life, the trio is about to find love and a new beginning amid their day-to-day experience.
Moreover, the upcoming rom-com Kdrama unveils the challenges and struggles over friendships and careers.

'Thirty-Nine' New Stills Feature the Genuine Friendship of Son Ye Jin, Jeon Mi Do, Kim Ji Hyun
Ahead of the premiere date, JTBC teases viewers with a sneak peek of Son Ye Jin, Jeon Mi Do and Kim Ji Hyun's new drama as they play the role of three best friends.
In a series of still cuts, "Thirty-Nine" showed how the trio spent their usual weekend by bonding over some good shows and food.
Interestingly, on the days that they needed a breather, the group enjoyed spending their morning on a hike or over a few drinks.
Meet the 'Thirty-Nine' Cast
In the upcoming Kdrama, Son Ye Jin played Cha Mi Jo, a 39-year-old dermatologist head in a top-tier clinic in Gangnam.
Among the three, she is the most successful after putting up a clinic and has plans to study abroad to pursue her passion.
Growing in a wealthy family, everything is laid out to her, but behind this, she is a woman who knows how to speak her mind and dislikes injustice.
Apart from her classy and boss-girl personality, viewers would get to see the chemistry between her character and Yeon Woo Jin as dermatologist Kim Seon Woo.
Meanwhile, Jeon Mi Do took on the role of Jung Chan Young, an acting teacher whose lifelong dream is to become an actress.
She will be paired with Lee Moo Saeng, who plays Camp Entertainment CEO Kim Ji Seok, and, interestingly, Cha Mi Jo's former schoolmate.
Upon reuniting with Cha Mi Jo, Kim Ji Seok was mesmerized by Jung Chan Young's beauty, hinting at love at first sight.
Will this be her plot twist before turning 40?
Lastly, completing the trio is Kim Ji Hyun, who works as a cosmetics manager in a department store.
Unlike her two friends, she is the most shy, making it hard to find a date.
However, things are about to change when she meets 35-year-old chef Park Hyun Joon, played by Lee Tae Hwan.
"Thirty-Nine" release date is scheduled to premiere on February 16 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
