Netflix series "D.P." is a military drama that follows two members of the arrest team who are set to catch deserters and end up on an adventurous journey.

The first season of the drama was released last year, which received great response from the public with its excellent execution and sensuous directing.

This 2022, the Netflix series returns with a much bolder and braver season! On Tuesday, May 32, "D.P." shared a sneak peek at the script reading of the drama.

Regarding the upcoming season, Jung Hae In shared his delight as he was able to film the new season together with his previous co-stars.

"The thought of meeting great people again on set is enough to make me excited," Jung Hae In shared. "Please look forward to seeing Private Ahn Jun Ho!"

Meanwhile, Koo Kyo Hwan revealed that he has waited for a long time for this moment and he couldn't be any happier.

Actor Kim Sung Kyun promises to meet the fans and viewers with a new, thrilling season. Finally, Son Seok Koo comments that he's grateful for the friendship he's built with the director and his colleagues.

Apart from the return of the main leads, the new season will also boast the addition of new cast members Ji Jin Hee and Kim Ji Hyun.

Ji Jin Hee takes on the role of Goo Ja Woon, the chief legal officer of the army headquarters. The actor previously showed off his prowess in hit dramas "Move to Heaven," "Designated Survivor: 60 Days" and more.

He revealed that he hasn't done a character like Ja Woon up until this writing. Although unfamiliar, the actor guarantees a performance that viewers should anticipate.

He said, "I'll prepare well so I can create a brilliant picture with the other characters."

On the other hand, Kim Ji Hyun, who is originally a musical actress, recently captured the viewers' hearts in "Thirty-Nine" and "Artificial City."

In "D.P." Season 2, she transforms into Lieutenant Colonel Seo Eun, the operations officer of the Ministry of National Defense Prosecutor's Office.

"I'm very glad to be able to work with such amazing stars on a new project," Kim Ji Hyun said. "I'm excited to see how I can contribute to support and enrich the drama."

'D.P.' Season 2 Further Details, Release Date, More

Earlier this year, "D.P." bagged the Best Drama at the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards. Actors Jo Hyun Chul and Koo Kyo Hwan also won Best Supporting Actor and Best New Actor, respectively.

"D.P." is helmed together by director Han Jun Hee and screenwriter Kim Bo Tong. Previously, the series consisted of six episodes. 

The season 2 of the Netflix series is currently in the works, and it is expected to be released sometime in late 2022 and early 2023.
