Korean celebrities are famous not just for great Kdramas and hit Kpop songs but also for their fashionable hairstyles.
However, these actors managed to pull off military haircuts, while some sports buzz cut hairstyles because of a certain role.
Jang Ki Yong
The rising star began his enlistment in August 23, 2021, months before his Kdrama with Song Hye Kyo premiered.
Ahead of Jang Ji Yong's enlistment, he shared a photo of him donning a short hairstyle.
On his Instagram, he posted a black and white photo sporting a military crew haircut with a handwritten letter to fans.
He expressed his gratitude, saying that he was able to spend his 20s "happily" due to the people who "have loved and supported" the actor.
Moreover, he also promised to comeback "strong and healthy" as he turns 30.
Ji Chang Wook
In 2017, the actor shared snippets of his milestone as he enlisted in the military.
He took to Instagram with a short clip featuring how he bid goodbye to his usual hairstyle and dons the buzz cut.
On August 12, the actor uploaded a short video to his Instagram account that follows him as he goes to a barber shop to get a military buzz cut.

Throughout the process, Ji Chang Wook smiled brightly and seemed excited about his new makeover.

Kang Ha Neul
For his Kdrama comeback, "Insider," Kang Ha Neul played a judicial trainee named Kim Yo Han, whose life was turned upside down due to an incident.
In prison, he took this as an opportunity to plot revenge. The Baeksang Arts Award winner made a huge transformation and purposely shaved his hair to portray a prisoner.
Interestingly, this is way different from his hairstyle in "The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure," playing the role of ship captain Wu Mu Chi, who dons long frizzy hair.

On Yoo Ah In's Instagram, he appeared with a blonde crew cut in the movie #Alive with Park Shin Hye as he portrays online gamer Oh Joon Woo.
Like Kang ha Neul, he also had a slightly long hair in one of his Kdramas. Yoo Ah In wore a wig in "Hellbound" to play cult leader Jung Jin Soo.
