The case involves the chairperson of Sangjeong Pharmaceuticals, a major client in Hanbada law firm. His son, Sang Hun (Lee Bong Joon),  passed away due to fatal injuries inflicted by his 21-year-old autistic son Jeong Hun (Moon Sang Hoon).

Like Woo Young Woo, he has autism spectrum disorder. However, he's on the severe end of the spectrum with a mental age of 6 to 10 years old.

The parents of the victim and the defendant are convinced that their autistic son killed the older brother due to uncontrollable urge as he repeatedly beat him up while yelling at him to die.

At home, Woo Young Woo devises plans on how to communicate with another autistic person. Thankfully, her father gives her advice and encourages her to do her best.

Woo Young Woo's Deductions and Findings

On the following day, Woo Young Woo, Jung Myeong Seok (Kang Ki Young) and Choi Su Yeon (Ha Yoon Kyung) work together and feed off the defendant's love for penguins in hopes to build a connection.

The three of them sang the Pengsoo song. However, Jeong Hun is a tough cookie to crack. Their hard work didn't pay off as they expected.

As a last resort, Woo Young Woo and Lee Jun Ho (Kang Tae Oh) work together to find clues in Sang Hun's room.

They find scraps of rope behind the victim's bookshelf, as well as his year-old diary, confirming their hunches that the victim tried to commit suicide several times before Jeong Hun.

Woo Young Woo deduces that it was the reason why the defendant snapped: he had witnessed his brother trying to commit suicide and lost his temper as a result.

When they present these claims to the parents, they lash out and question Woo Young Woo's credibility as she is also diagnosed with autism.

Woo Young Woo Hands In Resignation Letter

Because the family wants to keep Sang Hun's integrity in check and wishes to plead insanity instead of airing out their dirty laundry, there's not much the lawyers could do.

While the court is in recess, Woo Young Woo discovers that Jeong Hun tried to save his older brother's life that day, bringing him down from the rope, which caused him to break his spine after dropping on his back.

In particular, Sang Hun wasn't beaten to death at all, as his ribs were broken due to the number of attempts to CPR.

She agrees, pointing out that her autism isn't conducive to the case even if it was painful for her to admit it.

At the end of the episode, Jeong Hun received a favorable outcome. Despite all that, Woo Young Woo decides to hand in her letter of resignation.
