Starring Jung So Min, Lee Jae Wook, Hwang Minhyun and more, the new tvN series tells the story of an assassin who gets trapped inside the body of a mage's servant's body.
On July 12, fans expressed their personal opinions on the replacement of Jung So Min, the lead protagonist of the drama, in the upcoming Part 2.

On July 13, reports were made that "The School Nurse Files" actress Park Hye Eun will join the second part of the drama to replace Jung So Min.

Due to the extreme pressure and burden of leading a big scale project, the rookie actress decided to leave the production unit.
However, nothing has been confirmed just yet. To control the rumors and further backlash, the production unit of the drama stated, "It would be difficult to confirm things at the moment as it could be a major spoiler for the current season."
What You Need To Know About 'Alchemy of Souls' Part 2
Since tvN's fantasy series "Alchemy of Souls" is a work that can't be composed in just one work, director Park Jun Hwa decided to split the narrative into two parts.

"Alchemy of Souls" Part 1, which airs currently every Saturday and Sunday, consists of a total of 20 episodes with one hour running time each.
It is focused on the main story of Jung So Min, Lee Jae Wook and Hwang Minhyun, and the romance that connects the three.

Meanwhile, Part 2 will introduce the supporting roles' side stories and spin-offs organized into 10 new episodes. According to the production unit, the second part will not necessarily follow the storyline of the first part.
The official release date of the "Alchemy of Souls" Part 2 is not announced yet, but the production unit of the series aims to release it after the conclusion of Part 1.
