Lee Bo Young and Ji Sung Enjoy Their Honeymoon
It has been a few months since the day actors Lee Bo Young and Ji Sung married and this week the couple finally departed for their honeymoon. The delay had to do with the very successful year that both actors had. The bride finished filming her big hit drama "I Hear Your Voice," before announcing her upcoming marriage but the groom had to return to the set of his hit drama "Secrets" shortly after their September ceremony.
While the couple did have a brief pre-honeymoon when they traveled to Spain to take their wedding photos, it has been a busy year for them. They have not spent as much time together as they would have liked. They did not have time to shop for a home and continued to live apart after their wedding day. When she was recently asked if the wedding had changed their lives, Lee Bo Young confessed that it had not.
"To be honest, I don't think anything has changed," said Lee Bo Young. "When Ji Sung is working we don't get to see each other often. I only see him for a short time before he leaves in the morning."
They considered putting the honeymoon off for a whole six months.
"We will go on our honeymoon next March," said Lee Bo Young shortly after her wedding. But then they decided not to wait for so long. When the couple left for a Thailand honeymoon this week, Ji Sung's agency Namoo Actors released a statement to that effect.
"Ji Sung and Lee Bo Young left for Thailand on the 28th," said a Namoo representative. "They plan to spend a week there and come back. They both chose to go to Thailand for a quiet honeymoon and enjoy a break rather than go somewhere else to sightsee."
No one could have predicted that the couple would both have such successful dramas in the same year. And their dramas may soon compete in end-of-the-year lists for fan favorites. Both "I Hear Your Voice" and "Secrets" topped the charts in their respective time slots.
Lee Bo Young played Jang Hye Sung, the jaded but determined public defense attorney in "I Hear Your Voice." Lee Jong Suk provided her drama romance. Ji Sung played the troubled heir Jo Min Huk in "Secrets." His love interest and the object of his revenge attempts was the character played by Hwang Jung Eum. Both dramas had very loyal fan bases.
But as pleased as they both are with this year's successes, it's not likely that Lee Bo Young and Ji Sung will spend their brief honeymoon discussing which of their dramas was the most popular.
