'Alchemy of Souls' Episode 18: Songrim Gets Enveloped With Danger
To prove the extreme power of the ice stone, Jin Ho Gyeong (Park Eun Hye) kills Mu Deok (Jung So Min), and tries to bring her back to life.
However, she senses a familiar feeling when she hears Mu Deok call her mother. All of the semblance she shares with her long lost daughter.

When So Yi (Seo Hye Won) realizes what's happening, she destroys the ice stone. Because of this, the powerful ice stone traps them inside a powerful barrier with no way out.
Outside of the barrier, Park Jin (Yoo Jun Sang) and Jin Mu's (Jo Jae Yoon) suspicions about the true identity of Mu Deok grows.
Mu Deok Regains Her Power
Unlike Jang Uk (Lee Jae Wook), Seo Yul (Hwang Minhyun) and Crown Prince Go Won (Shin Seung Ho), Mu Deok is a soul shifter who regains her energy due to the power of the ice stone.
Little do they know, the soul shifter who remains alive is hiding inside the premises, and has made a deal with So Yi to lure Seo Yul for him to kill.

When the soul shifter attacks the mages trapped inside the barrier, Mu Deok decides to completely ignore them, letting them die a painful death.

Unfortunately, the thought of Jang Uk dying doesn't sit well with her. She then rushes to the secret room where Jang Uk and the soul shifter are located. She retrieves her sword and unsheathes it, determined to take down the soul shifter who dares to kill Jang Uk.
Mu Deok feels relieved after seeing Jang Uk alive, and cries when she confesses that she thought of running away with the ice stone.
Lee Jae Wook
Jang Uk orders her to kill him with her own sword, a deal they made before. When Mu Deok couldn't kill him, Jang Uk wants to show his genuine feelings for his master, and kisses her with longing and passion.
