‘Little Women’ Episode 1: Kim Go Eun Grieves From Loss of Dear Friend
"Little Women" is the newest mystery-thriller drama that focuses on the crisis experienced by three sisters, played by Kim Go Ein, Nam Ji Hyun, and Park Ji Hoo.
Premiered on September 3, via tvN and Netflix, episodes 1 and two showed impressive viewership ratings as the pilot episode scored a higher percentage than its predecessor "Alchemy of Souls," while episode 2 showed a significant increase garnering an average nationwide rating of 7.7 percent.
While Kim Go Eun's new drama is currently among the most-watched series, here are the highlights of "Little Women" Episode 1.
'Little Women' Episode 1: Running Away from Poverty
The pilot episode starts with the eldest Oh In Joo (Kim Go Eun) and second eldest Oh In Kyung (Nam Ji Hyun), celebrating a simple yet heartwarming birthday celebration for their youngest, Oh In Hye (Park Ji Hoo).
On In Joo also recalled the time when she had to celebrate her own birthday without a cake instead she only had hard-boiled eggs. This time, she wanted to give her sister a birthday to remember.
Aside from the beautiful cake, she and the middle child On In Kyung gave In Hye money for her trip to Europe.
However, her mother felt upset after knowing that they are willing to spend millions of won to send In Hye on a trip to Europe.
Unfortunately, the sisters woke up knowing that their mother took their money without any trace of her whereabouts.
Of course, the siblings were furious but promised to give In Hye their promised trip.
Oh In Kyung's Action Backfires
In "Little Women" Episode 1, Oh In Kyung works as a budding journalist and wants to prove her talent to her colleagues, especially her boss.
However, she gets caught up in a chaotic situation after her boss assigned her to investigate a case that happened four years ago, which involved a candidate for Mayor, Park Jae Sang (Uhm Ki Joon), and his connection with an illegal slush fund known as the Bobae Savings Case.
She was able to confront the politician but instead of Park Jae Sang Being in the spotlight, Oh In Kyung trends on social media after she was accused of being drunk while at work.

At the office, it was later confirmed that she was under the influence of alcohol while on duty after a bottle of tequila was seen inside her drawer. In addition, the mouthwash that she was seen drinking was alcohol.
With this, she got suspended due to alcohol dependence.

Oh In Joo Receives Shocking Present from Her Late Friend
In "Little Women" Episode 1, Oh In Joo had to find out the hard way that her only friend committed suicide.
After her friend got involved in a scam and was accused of embezzling money, she got a letter noting that her yoga glasses will be transferred to her. Upon checking her locker, she saw the shoes she borrowed and recalled their fun times.
However, what surprised her was a bag full of money, along with a special message that reads, "Thanks for everything In Joo. You were so nice to me. I hope you and your sisters get to live in an apartment with large windows."
