Is 'Narco-Saints' Worth the Hype?

Directed by "The Spy Gone North" and "KUNDO : Age of the Rampant's" Yoon Jong Bin, "Narco-Saints" is based on a true story of a civilian entrepreneur who tried his luck in Suriname for a new venture but was entangled in a secret mission of NIS to capture Korea's most-wanted drug lord.

In the six-episode K-drama, the series featured a roster of renowned actors starting with Hwang Jung Min as the antagonist Pastor Jeon Yo Hwan. Behind his kind and angelic charms, Yo Hwan uses his religious group to build an empire that focuses on trading cocaine.

He is known as one of the big suppliers of narcotics in Europe and has strong ties with the Suriname president.

Joining the trio is Yoo Yeon Seok who plays the pastor's legal adviser David Park and Jo Woo Jin as the Korean-Chinese Byun Ki Tae, who is also Jeon Yo Hwan's right-hand man.
