On September 29, the drama's opening video stirs attention which intensifies the webtoon adaptation rumors.
The opening segment of the drama begins with the animated versions of Namgoong Min, Kim Ji Eun and the rest of the main ensemble of the drama, which shows a semblance of 2000s television shows.

The opening song also gives a quirky and nostalgic vibe reminiscent to the early television works.
Assistant director Kim Hyun Woo and animation producer Cho Kyung Hoon stated that they wanted to give viewers a different perspective of court dramas through the opening video.

"We didn't want to give the impression of a heavy, stressful court drama so we opted for the cartoonish elements [in the video]," the duo reasoned.

Through this, viewers expect the drama to be comical and entertaining, proving the production's effective technique.
'One Dollar Lawyer' Rumored To Be Adapted Into Webtoon
Because of the animated opening scene of the drama, many fans are expecting "One Dollar Lawyer" to be adapted into a webtoon like many other South Korean series.

However, the production unit of the series are not interested in adapting the drama into a webtoon as they are more focused on the nuanced performances of actual actors.
"The absurdity of the series, and the playfulness and sarcasm of the main characters are conveyed with passion thanks to Namgoong Min and Kim Ji Eun," the production unit stated.
"If this work gets adapted into a webtoon, the composition of the work wouldn't give as much of an impact as it would appear as cartoonish and trivial," they added.

Nonetheless, "One Dollar Lawyer" remains as one of the promising works in the entertainment scene today.
