In an exclusive report cited by JTBC Entertainment, the actor is selected to be the lead star in the romantic historical series.

Kim Seon Ho Courted to Star in 'The Shinru of Hash'

According to the media outlet, a drama official shared that the actor is courted to play the lead star of the forthcoming K-drama while representatives of the production company Studio and New revealed that they are "positively reviewing Kim Seon Ho's appearance."

If the actor officially accepts the offer, "The Shinru of Hash" will be his next small screen project after 2021 hit K-drama "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" along with Shin Min Ah.

Meanwhile, if Kim Seon Ho agrees to join the cast of the romance historical series, he will take on the character of Crown Prince Lee Hyang, a genius scientist during the Joseon era.

"The Shinru of Hash" is based on a web novel of the same name written by the webtoon artist Yoon Yi Soo.

The story focuses on the life of Crown Prince Lee Hyang, who is dubbed as the "Renaissance of Joseon" and the mysterious woman named Hae Ru, who can see the future.

Interestingly, aside from his K-drama comeback, "The Shinru of Hash" will be Kim Seon Ho's second historical K-drama.

It can be recalled that the actor was among the lead stars in the 2018 historical rom-com series "100 Days My Prince" together with EXO's D.O and Nam Ji Hyun.

His strong acting skills, charm, and undeniable visuals surely suit Kim Seon Ho to play the crown prince.

Kim Seon Ho Bounces Back from Controversy

While his K-drama comeback is still unofficial, Kim Seon Ho has started with his on-screen and theater activities after joining "Touching the Void" and "Sad Tropicals."

One of his first activities after the controversy is returning to the stage for the novel-based stage play.

Kim Seon Ho transformed as a mountain climber named Joe Simpson who embarked on a death-defying mission as the duo traverse the summit of Siula Grande in the Andes Mountains, in western South America.

It is based on the real-life story of two British mountaineers whose near-death experiences prompted them to write a novel and eventually adapted it into a film and theater play.

Apart from "Touching the Void" Kim Seon Ho will also have his big screen debut in the upcoming film "Sad Tropicals."

The K-drama good boy stars alongside Go Ah Ra, Kim Kang Woo, and rookie actor Kang Tae Joo as the lead stars.
