‘May I Help You’ Episode 1-2: Hyeri & Lee Jun Young Team Up To Make Wishes Come True
The new MBC drama "May I Help You," starring Girl's Day Hyeri and Lee Jun Young, has finally hit the small screen to deliver the magical story of a funeral director and a butler. Here's what happened in the first two episodes of the MBC series.
'May I Help You' Episode 1: Baek Dong Ju and Butler Kim's Eventful Meeting
A blessing and a curse, Baek Dong Ju (Girl's Day Hyeri) learns about her unexpected powers of being able to see, feel and talk to the deceased.
The more she pushes it away, the more tragedies she faces. The only way to save her from further harm is to grant the deceased people's last wishes.
After becoming a funeral director, she decides to grant the wishes of 21 people. In the pilot episode of the drama, Baek Dong Ju works on Choi Yeon Hee's (Seo Young Hee) wish.
The latter died and was never visited by her own husband and best friend. It turns out, the deceased woman's husband has been having an affair with her own best friend.
Baek Dong Ju then gives her closure, doing her job not only as a funeral director but also as someone who grants their last wishes.
In particular, Baek Dong Ju also meets the handsome and diligent Butler Kim (Lee Jun Young) who works at Ildangbaek, an errand service. Like Baek Dong Ju, Butler Kim accepts anything that the customers want.

Although there's quite a difference, Baek Dong Jun and Butler Kim decide to work together to achieve one goal: to give satisfaction to their clients.
The two then take on their new case which includes a deceased taxi driver who wishes to find his lost son that he has entrusted to his half-brother.
Unfortunately, the half-brother in question is only interested in the death insurance money. Because of this, Baek Dong Ju pulls some strings up to find the poor taxi driver's son.
At the end of the episode, Butler Kim appears along with the long lost son, standing in tears. Baek Dong Ju feels content and thankful for the latter, thinking about their great partnership.
'May I Help You' Episode 2: A Glimpse Into Baek Dong Ju's Painful Past
In "May I Help You" episode 2, Baek Dong Ju and Butler Kim successfully found the son of the deceased taxi driver.
The simple yet attractive spark between the two main characters didn't go unnoticed, especially that they both expressed their fondness for one another.
Meanwhile, the viewers are given a glimpse of Baek Dong Ju's past. It turns out that she doesn't live a happy life like most people do.
Her own birthday is the same day that her beloved mother died. She then blames herself for her mother's death, thinking that if she wasn't born, her mother would have been still alive.

With this, Baek Dong Ju becomes more sincere than anyone in fulfilling the last wishes of the deceased.
On the other hand, Butler Kim realizes that he has seen the deceased taxi driver before. It was the same taxi driver who paid for his meal when he forgot his wallet elsewhere which touched his heart even more.
In particular, the subtle changes between Baek Dong Ju and Butler Kim's relationship are believed to herald a romantic tryst that involves the two in the future.
