Aside from the gravity-defying action scenes, romantic elements and fantastic camera works, "Alchemy of Souls" took the viewers on a journey as it boasted its remarkable sceneries which the viewers loved!

Having an "Alchemy of Souls" withdrawal? Check out these filming locations that you might want to visit when you're in Korea!

1. Mungyeong Saejae Open Set

Many historical dramas were filmed at the famous Mungyeong Saejae Open Set in North Gyeongsang Province. Jung So Min and Lee Jae Wook's "Alchemy of Souls" took the privilege to film in the open set, which is one of the factors why the drama is a success.

Because of its wide area and aesthetic that gives off South Korean dynasty vibes, the spot is not only perfect for filming series but it is also a main attraction for tourists who are also K-Drama lovers.

2. Naju Image Theme Park

The Naju Image Theme Park is a very common filming location that avid K-Drama viewers might recognize in an instant. It's located in Naju, South Jeolla Province.

In the theme park, the beautiful royal buildings can be seen. Some scenes in "Alchemy of Souls" were altered so as not to look identical to other dramas, despite being filmed in the same spot.

3. Ms. Seongheungsan Love Tree

The popular love tree is located on the Seongheungsan mountain, thus the name, in South Chuncheong Province. The love tree is a spot where many couples and tourists take beautiful photos together.

It's a part of the surrounding fortress that overlooks a lake. Because the tree atop the mountain has heart-shaped branches, the authorities decided to name it "love tree."

It is the same tree that Mu Deok (Jung So Min) describes as a beautiful scenery that Jang Uk (Lee Jae Wook) promises to take her to again one day.

4. Nong Woljeong

In historical dramas, a pavilion is always present. The Nong Woljeong is a kind of pavilion where it is surrounded by rocks and flowing water, built as a memorial site for historical figures.

Located in Hamyang, North Gyeongsang Province, many tourists don't let the chance to enjoy the sound of the water slip away. In particular, the calming view of nature is an invaluable experience, too.

5. Dragon Head Coast

The Jeju Yongmeori Haean, known as Dragon Head Coast, which is located at Seogwipo, Jeju Island is an iconic filming location among K-Dramas.

The attraction is named after its layered sandstone that is shaped like a dragon that enters the bodies of water. Its name is very fitting as it is the place where Mu Deok manifested Naksu's energy in the water, gaining her powers back.
