Kim Tae Ri’s Movie ‘Alien’ Scheduled to Premiere in OTT + Will It Be on Netflix?

The blockbuster movie "Alien" which stars Kim Tae Ri, Kim Woo Bin, and Ryu Jun Yeol is scheduled to have its small-screen premiere.

The star-studded action fantasy movie has its theatrical release on July 20 and interestingly, viewers get to watch the first part on tv.

'Alien' to Air in TVING

Over TVING's official Twitter account, the OTT platform announced that "Alien" will be broadcasted on TVING.

"First among OTT! 'Alien' Part 1 will be released on TV," the post reads along with the film's teaser showing Kim Tae Ri, Ryu Jun Yeol and Kim Woo Bin's characters.

As for the release date, the platform is yet to confirm the movie's tv debut, and will only be available

Directed by Choi Dong Hoon of "Tazza: The High Rollers," "The Thieves" and "Assassination," "Alien," also known as "Alienoid" is a two-part film that doeicts the story of a mysterious incident that connects the past and the present.

Ir came after a mysterious time portal opened and eventually bridged Taoists from the Goryeo Dynasty to humans in 2022 in search of the legendary sword.

Apart from it, the present time is hunting down alien prisoners trapped inside the human's body.

In the sci-fi adventure movie, Ryu Jun Yeol took the role of Taoist Moo Reuk while Kim Woo Bin played the Guard, whose task is to escort alien prisoners.

On the other hand, Kim Tae Ri portrayed the role of a woman who can shoot thunder named Lee Ahn.

Joining the trio is So Ji Sub who plays detective Moon Do Seok while Honey Lee takes the role of Min Gae In, a woman whose curiosity leads her to find out the Guard's identity.

In addition, viewers get to see Yeom Jung Ah and Jo Woo Jin portray Heuk Seol and Chung Woon or the gods of Samgak Mountain.

Prior to the movie's theatrical release, Kim Woo Bin shared his thoughts about his comeback movie after his fourth-month hiatus due to his health issues.

As obtained by Korea Times, the South Korean heartthrob said "I can't believe we have come to the end of a long journey that didn't seem to end," adding that he is "sad" to say goodbye to his character and the film crew, but is "happy finally to be able to show" "the movie to the audience.

Before the movie's successful debut, the cast and the whole team spent 13 months filming "Alien" part 1.

As for the upcoming part 2, director Choi Dong Hoon and officials are yet to confirm the film's target premiere.
