Moon Sang Min spills more secrets about his experience in "Under the Queen's Umbrella" and his working relationship with lead star Kim Hye Soo. The 22-year-old actor is among the stars who play the grand princes and sons of Queen Im Hwa Ryung, played by the award-winning actress.

During his interview with Esquire Korea, the actor spoke about a remarkable experience with his co-stars and Kim Hye Soo.

During the production of "Under the Queen's Umbrella" the team had to shoot some scenes on Chuseok Day, one of the biggest and most important holidays in Korea.

Moon Sang Min revealed that because of their production, "actors couldn't go to their hometown." However, Kim Hye Soo had other plans for her co-stars, who play as grand princes.

His on-screen mother invited him, Yoon Sang Hyun who took the role of Grand Prince Mu Ahn, Yoo Sun Ho as Grand Prince Gye Sung, and Park Ha Jun who portrayed the youngest, Grand Prince Il Young, and were all treated to a nice meal.

In addition, the group also took a portrait as a remembrance of an unforgettable experience.

"It was a studio, not an unmanned booth, so we all filmed together as if we were taking a family photo together," he recalled.

Moon Sang Min on His Role as Grand Prince Seongnam

As the interview continued, the actor was asked about his view on his character and the historical K-drama as a whole.

Moon Sang Min shared that "Under the Queen's Umbrella" revolves around "mothers willing to jump into the royal education war" for his sons deemed by the palace's troublemakers.

Moreover, the actor also hints at what to expect in the next episodes saying "interesting incidents happen in the midst of it."

As seen in the previous episode, Queen Im Hwa Ryung is experiencing an intense battle between Queen Dowager Cho and other officials who want to get rid of her family to take the throne.

As for his role, Moon Sang Min cited why his character, Grand Prince Seongnam, is different from the other grand princes.

"Unlike other princes, Seongnam grew up in Seochon, so he can be seen as a very dynamic and active person without being stereotyped," he said, adding that the character illustrates a "warm heart and compassion" for his younger brothers.

Meanwhile, "Under the Queen's Umbrella" episode 7 is scheduled to air on November 5 via tvN and Netflix.

Interestingly, apart from the historical K-drama, Moon Sang Min also appeared in Netflix's "My Name" which stars Park Hee Soon, Ahn Bo Hyun, and Han So Hee.
