‘Reborn Rich’ Slammed for Featuring Song Joong Ki With Excessive Face Filter

According to a media outlet, viewers were disappointed with how the drama illustrated the top star portraying his younger version.
In "Reborn Rich'' episode 3, the drama depicts the transformation of Yoon Hyun Woo, Soonyang Group's loyal employee who was reincarnated as a third-generation chaebol, Jin Do Joon.
He was reborn as the youngest grandson of Soonyang Group's founder, Jin yang Chul, played by veteran actor Lee Sung Min.
In the episode, it showcased Jin Do Joon's life in the university who decides to take up law instead of business-related courses.
For Jin Do Joon, it will be beneficial not only to himself but also to the whole conglomerate.
As seen in "Reborn Rich" episode 3, the show transformed the 37-year-old Song Joongf Ki into a 20-year-old college student.
However, viewers noticed that the production used "too much" face filters that it became unnatural with some thinking that it was "excessive."
On the other hand, others find it acceptable since the episode featured a flashback scene of Jin Do Joon.
The flashback scene is quite essential in "Reborn Rich" since the story will focus on Song Joong Ki's character being reborn as a new person and will be part of the family that killed him.

However, this is not the first time that Song Joong Ki's drama has been involved in the same issue.
In the same outlet, it mentioned that "Vincenzo" which is the top star's Kdrama comeback in 2021 was also criticized by viewers for its overdone face filters.
'Reborn Rich' Controversies
As mentioned, the "excessive face filter" issue is just among the accusations faced by the JTBC series.
First is the loveline between Jin Do Joon and Seo Min Young, saying that the love story will only ruin the potential of the K-drama, while some suggested that "reborn Rich" should stick to the original plot, where it did not include a possible romance between Do Joon and Min Young.
The second was accusing "Reborn Rich" of disrespecting Istanbul.
Over TikTok, a post caught the attention of viewers after it pointed out how the drama depicts Istanbul in a negative way.
Moreover, the user also raised that the officials should apologize for ruining the image of their country.
