What's Next For Kim Min Gyu After 'Business Proposal'?
In the first half of 2022, Kim Min Gyu surprised viewers with his role in the smashing hit romantic-comedy series "Business Proposal."
Thanks to irresistible charm and skills in bringing Cha Sung Hoon's character to life, the actor's career skyrocketed, and even had fan meetings in Japan and Thailand.
His on-and-off screen chemistry with female co-star Seol In Ah was also top-tier, enough for the audience to request them for another drama together.
Unfortunately, they are already packed with solo projects, and might be difficult for them to team up again in a series.
Kim Min Gyu To Lead Romance Drama 'Holy Idol' With Go Bo Gyeol
However, Kim Min Gyu, who became an instant superstar after "Business Proposal" concluded, is already booked for a new series.
In March, he was already confirmed to headline "Pontifex Lembrary," also known as "Holy Idol."
On November 24, as an update to his next project, the cast of "Holy Idol" was finally revealed.
Kim Min Gyu will team up for the first time with "Arthdal Chronicles" actress Go Bo Gyeol.
In addition, "Holy Idol" is Go Bo Gyeol's comeback drama after "Hi Bye Mama" in 2020.
What We Know So Far About tvN's Forthcoming Series 'Holy Idol'
Other actors joining the drama are Lee Jang Woo, Tak Jae Hoon, and Ye Ji Won. The fantasy series is expected to begin production and is scheduled to premiere in the first half of 2023 on tvN.
The K-drama is to be helmed by director Park So Yeon and Lee So Yoon. Lee Chun Geum will pen the script, and Studio Dragon is said to be in charge of the production.

"Holy Idol" is based on a web novel, which also turned into a web series. The story revolves around a high priest Rembrary, who possesses the body of a rookie idol Woo Yeon Woo.
Kim Min Gyu plays the role of Rembrary, a high priest from another world, who visits the earth to fight the demon king. However, one day, he comes to a realization that he is already in a handsome idol's body.
Opposite him is Go Bo Gyeol-who will immerse herself in the character of Kim Dal.
Fans and viewers are anticipating Kim Min Gyu's upcoming character transformation for "Holy Idol."
