GOT7’s Jinyoung Confirmed To Fulfill Military Service in THIS Month

Idol-actor Park Jinyoung is now preparing to make a short exit from the industry to officially start his military service journey.

GOT7's Jinyoung To Enlist in Military on March 2023

GOT7's Jinyoung, who made a special participation in the newly-premiered "Reborn Rich," surprised fans on November 25 after media outlets announced that he will officially make a temporary exit in entertainment. It is for him to fulfill his mandatory military service starting from mid of March 2023.

The actor, who is currently 28, is expected to serve in the army for almost two years.

Before joining the military, Park Jinyoung plans to busily carry out various schedules, including promoting his new movie, filming dramas, and preparing for his solo album.

Recently, he made a special appearance in the ongoing revenge series "Reborn Rich," in which he shared a frame with lead actor Song Joong Ki. Their unexpected duo gained a rave response from the public.

Park Jinyoung Packed With Projects in Dramas, Music

"The Devil Judge" star is also making his silver screen return with "Christmas Carol," which is scheduled to meet the viewers in theaters starting December 7. It has been said that Jinyoung played two roles in his new film and performed intense acting and action.

He challenged himself to play a dual role in his next big screen project.

"Christmas Carol" is an action thriller that follows the story of Il Woo, who entered a juvenile detention center himself for revenge after his twin brother Wol Woo died.

In addition, he is currently focusing on filming two series, both based on webtoons.

"Christmas Carol" is expected to be Park Jinyoung's last movie before entering the military camp. Meanwhile, the drama "The Witch" (working title) is said to be the first series to be released to the public after he finally joins the military.

GOT7 Jinyoung Prepares To Have Solo Fan Meeting

Aside from those, the idol-actor is also preparing to have a fan meeting in addition to releasing a solo album in January next year. He is taking time to work on songs and fan meetings at the same time despite his hectic schedule.

Park Jinyoung started his career in the entertainment industry as a member of the K-pop group GOT7.

Later on, debuted as an actor in "Dream High 2," and has been solidifying his position as an actor with previous works such as "He is Psychometric," "The Devil Judge," and " Yumi's Cells" season 1 and 2.
