Song Joong Ki’s Drama ‘Reborn Rich’ Cancels Upcoming Broadcast – Here’s Why
After "Reborn Rich" left viewers hanging in episode 7, the JTBC series announced that they would postpone the broadcast of the upcoming episode.
Amid the current hype and popularity of the weekend drama, the broadcast network confirmed that "Reborn Rich" episode 7, which was set to air on December 2, will be rescheduled.
'Reborn Rich' Halts Upcoming Broadcast
As obtained by an outlet, SpoTV News reported that JTBC explained the cancellation is to give way to a "global sports event." with
"We decided to take a break on December 2nd considering the broadcast of a global sports event that is arousing high public interest," adding that the network will instead play a rerun of the drama's sixth episode.
The broadcast network also asked for the viewers' understanding and hoped that they "will continue watching it until the end."
As for the show's final week, which includes episodes 15 and 16 "are scheduled to air on the weekends, so that more viewers will have time to watch the original broadcasts".

"Reborn Rich" has a total of 16 episodes for the first season and is airing thrice a week. From Friday to Sunday, viewers get to see the freshest episode of the revenge drama.
Interestingly, Song Joong Ki's new drama can be watched via JTBC and streamed online through Viu TV and Viki.
'Reborn Rich' Cast
Helmed by "King2Hearts," "W," "She Was Pretty" and "I'm Not a Robot" director Jeong Dae Yun, "Reborn Rich" is based on the web novel "The Youngest Son of a Conglomerate" which depicts the story of a loyal employee named Yoon Hyun Woo played by Song Joong Ki.
Despite being devoted to the company and their family, Mr. Yoon was betrayed by Soonyang after he was murdered and framed for embezzlement.
However, he woke up with a new life and identity and is now the youngest grandson of Soonyang founder Jin yang Chul played by Lee Sung Min.
In addition, he will also team up with Prosecutor Seo Min Young, portrayed by Shin Hyun Bin.
Yoon Je Moon, Jo Han Chul, Jin Yoon Ki, and Kim Shin Rok played the heirs of the Soonyang group.
In the drama, Jin Do Joon works alongside Miracle Investment run by his business partner, Oh Se Hyun (Park Hyuk Kwon and financial analyst Rachel (Girls' Generation's Tiffany.)
In the upcoming episode, viewers get to see an intense interaction between Jin Do Joon and Jin yang Chul after the grandson revealed that he is the major shareholder of Miracle Investment and the financial backer of the chairman's son-in-law Choi Chang Je.
