TVING Introduces Cha Eun Woo as Modern Exorcist Priest in 'Island' Stills
On December 7, TVING dropped new character stills of Cha Eun Woo for the drama "Island." Based on the webtoon of the same name, the story depicts the journey of characters who have a destiny to fight against evil.
Making his small screen comeback this year, Cha Eun Woo will play the role of John, the best and youngest exorcist. Digging deeper into his character, John was adopted abroad as soon as he was born. Under the call of God, he is reborn as the youngest exorcist priest.
One day, when he was dispatched to Jeju Island, considering it to be God's calling, John was swept away by the whirlwind of fate as he faced the "big day" revealed in the prophetic book.

In his first character stills, Cha Eun Woo takes off the boy-next-door look and immediately caught attention with a warm priestly uniform fit.
Cha Eun Woo Impresses Team With His Character Transformation
In one of the photos, John is in a holy place full of energy and is preparing for the ceremony by lighting a candle with headphones on. In the next still, he is staring at something with curiosity in his eyes as if waiting for someone.
John also matched a casual look instead of a priest's uniform, giving a twist with his glittering eyes and warm visuals.
Meanwhile, the idol-actor is steadily expanding his acting spectrum. The images raise curiosity about how to unravel the colorful charms of his character as an exorcist priest.
In addition, a representative from the production shared that Cha Eun Woo surprised the staff in one of the scenes where he freely expressed the true character of John. He added that "Island" will be filled with Cha Eun Woo's new charms that have not been seen in his previous projects.
Action-adventure drama "Island" is slated to premiere on December 30 on TVING.
