‘Alchemy of Souls Part 2’ Premieres With Impressive Score + ‘Reborn Rich’ Maintains All Time High
The year 2022 has been jam-packed with riveting works with gripping narrative. In fact, the final month of the year is no exception.
In the second week of December, tvN's "Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow" and JTBC's "Reborn Rich" became the most watched series, enjoying high scores from the public.
'Alchemy of Souls' & 'Reborn Rich' Achieve High Scores
Among other weekend dramas, "Alchemy of Souls" and "Reborn Rich" stand strong with unbeatable scores!
Starring Lee Jae Wook and Go Yoon Jung, "Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow," which is a direct Part 2 to the first series, premieres with excellent ratings.
It tells the stories of mages whose lives are twisted due to a magic spell that shifts people's souls. During its first week, the drama scored an average rating of 7.7% nationwide-a 1.9% higher than the score received in Part 1.

Meanwhile, JTBC's "Reborn Rich" starring Song Joong Ki continues to dominate the small screen, soaring to a new high. The latest episode of the series scored past 20%, which is the highest viewership rating to date.
KBS2's "Three Bold Siblings" also scores an average rating of 22.5%, topping the most watched series among weekend dramas.
The three worldwide hit dramas are expected to maintain their scores and rankings until their conclusion, especially "Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow" which recently premiered.
'Alchemy of Souls Part 2' Receives Criticisms For Drama Plot
While fans clamor over the return of the internationally loved series "Alchemy of Souls," viewers are divided when it comes to its plot and execution.
Prior to its premiere, many viewers expressed their distaste for the sudden change in the story-Naksu forgets everything about her and Jang Uk.
The changes were an essential part in the story especially with the replacement of Jung So Min from Part 1. The second part of the series is headlined by Go Yoon Jung who assumes the lead role.
