The second part of "Money Heist Korea: Joint Economic Area" has finally graced the small screen. However, the series received mixed reviews from the public, and has been branded as a "flop."

'Money Heist Korea' Branded As Flop Work of Netflix

This December, Netflix Korea proudly premiered the second part of the buzzworthy series "Money Heist Korea: Joint Economic Area."

It is the continuation of the ambitious remake of the South Korean industry which focuses on the biggest heist in the Korean peninsula amidst the reunification of the North and South.

The work boasts its star-studded cast of Yoo Ji Tae, Kim Yun Jin, Park Hae Soo, Jeon Jong Seo who are all present in Part 1, and the addition of Lim Ji Yeon in the gang.

"Money Heist Korea: Joint Economic Area" released its Part 2 on December 9, marking the completion of the first season of the series.

Previously, the Netflix series became the talk of the town with its witty twist in the narrative, as well as the camera effects that left viewers in awe.

However, the Part 2 was rather disappointing and underwhelming according to fans. The series didn't live up to the hype that was given to the first half last summer.

The cast of the series was also criticized, saying that the characters in the remake didn't match to its original counterparts especially Tokyo, Denver and Stockholm.

Even worse, the series didn't even make it to the Top 10 of Netflix's non-English works, which is a huge letdown compared to the success of Part 1.

In particular, the fans of the original Spanish series debated whether to watch or drop the remake from the beginning due to its "dullness" and "mediocre" themes.

'Money Heist Korea' Writer Responds To Criticism

Not every work is given the chance to produce a new season and luckily, "Money Heist Korea' is one of the works that continues to release more seasons.

The original Spanish series ran for five seasons and has dominated the global Netflix charts, which pushes the South Korean remake to produce a work of the same quality.
