Nam Joo Hyuk is about to take his hiatus as he is set to fulfill his military duty once the warrant for his enlistment is finally issued.

'Vigilante' Concludes Filming, Nam Joo Hyuk's Last Drama Before Military Enlistment

According to JTBC on December 20, Nam Joo Hyuk finished filming the Disney+ original series "Vigilante," which is his last work before joining the military. It's also rumored that the actor already filmed in advance for the other promotions of the drama.

Now that the "Twenty Five, Twenty One" star already concluded his planned schedules, Nam Joo Hyuk is preparing for his enlistment date, but he is still waiting for the warrant to be issued.

Included in the released report, an official from the actor's side explained, "It will be difficult to join the military in December because the warrant has not been released yet."

Meanwhile, the model-actor is expected to quietly have personal time until his enlistment date is confirmed.

Nam Joo Hyuk's Previous Works

Nam Joo Hyuk, born in 1994, will join the army at the age of 28. He made his debut as a model in 2013 and became a rising star through tvN's "Cheese in the Trap," SBS' "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo," the megahit rom-com series "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo," and KBS' "Who Are You: School 2015."

In addition, he joined veteran actress Jung Yu Mi in Netflix's "The School Nurse Flies," tvN's "Start-Up," "Twenty Five, Twenty One." The heartthrob also showed off his youth image and captivated the viewers with his movies "The Great Battle," "Josee," and "Remember."

Meanwhile, Nam Joo Hyuk and Kim Tae Ri's "Twenty Five, Twenty One" received back-to-back achievements. It won the Best Drama Series at the Asian Academy Creative Awards in Singapore. It was also included in the top 10 of the most googled Korean dramas this 2022.

'Vigilante' To Premiere in First Half of 2023

"Vigilante," which will be released after Nam Joo Hyuk enters the military is based on a famous webtoon penned by Kim Kyu Sam. It depicts the story of a metropolitan investigation team that tracks down vigilantes, they are evil people who have escaped the punishment of the law. The actor takes the role of the dark hero, Ji Yong, a righteous officer who fights bad people. 
On the other hand, the crime-thriller drama is rumored to premiere in the first half of 2023.
