Besides the successful box office hits in terms of ratings and success, the year 2022 also had its low-rating works. As 2022 comes to an end, let's look back at the dramas that scored low but still deserve skyrocketing popularity!
'Sponsor'
Even before its premiere, Lee Ji Hoon and Han Chae Young's "Sponsor" has received backlash due to its controversial plot, which tells how people will do anything to achieve their desires.
Plus, the male lead also was embroiled in a scandal. During its run, the drama only received an average rating of 0.4%, a significantly low score among other new releases.
'The One and Only'
Like "Sponsor," Red Velvet Joy, Kang Ye Won and Ahn Eun Jin's "The One and Only" also scored a very low score. It barely received a 0.2% rating during its broadcast.
While the story has a humanistic approach to life depicting the struggles of three women with numbered days, the execution of the work wasn't appealing enough to the overseas channels, let alone in the South Korean public.

In particular, Red Velvet Joy's performance was also criticized, saying that she's just a pretty face, and couldn't keep her pace with her other co-stars.
'Today's Webtoon'
Kim Sejeong's recent work "Today's Webtoon" was a major letdown especially to the idol-turned-actress' fans. Since she peaked with her drama "Business Proposal," her new rom-com drama received mixed reactions from fans.
The work focuses on the stories of the producers in the competitive industry of webtoon. Many fans had dropped the drama despite only seeing four episodes due to its lackluster story, flat acting and cliche romance dynamics.

'A Superior Day'
The OCN drama "A Superior Day" starring Jin Goo was one of the most anticipated works this 2022. However, fans were underwhelmed with the comeback of the popular actor.
Unlike the others, "A Superior Day" reached 1% but remained stagnant until the conclusion. Fans felt sorry for Jin Goo's superb acting that was wasted in the mediocre work.
