‘Alchemy of Souls’ Episode 26: Go Yoon Jung Slowly Regains Own Memories
"Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow" releases its newest episode in which Go Yoon Jung slowly regains her own memories from the past. Meanwhile, Hwang Minhyun's body begins to deteriorate.
He also risks his life to protect a secret that will change everything in Daeho. Read to know more about what happened in the 26th episode of the drama.
'Alchemy of Souls' Episode 26: Seo Yul & Jin Bu Yeon Save So Yi
Previously, Jang Uk (Lee Jae Wook) visited Jinyowon with Jin Bu Yeon (Go Yoon Jung) to ask for Jin Ho Gyeong's (Park Eun Hye) blessing, and also check the relic that resides inside Jinyowon.
In episode 26, Seo Yul (Hwang Minhyun) tresspasses Jinyowon to save a friend, So Yi (Seo Hye Won), whose life is in danger.
So Yi desperately begs the Jin leader for the cure to the energy-eating blood parasite in exchange for the truth about her daughter. However, this only enraged Jin Ho Gyeong.
After saving the swindler, Seo Yul confirms that Jin Bu Yeon is indeed Naksu as her soul lives inside Jin Bu Yeon's body.
Meanwhile, Jin Mu (Jo Jae Yoon) asks the King to send Jang Uk away from Daeho and make him the General of the North Fortress to pursue his plans without any hassle.
Jin Bu Yeon Regains Her Own Memories
In the previous episodes, Jin Bu Yeon recalls memories that are not of her own. Jang Uk believes that the memories in her head were Naksu's, not knowing that they're the same person.
In the new episode, she begins to remember her memories as Naksu, even before meeting Jang Uk. She then sees the huge tree in Danhyanggok, which also became Mu Deok (Jung So Min) and Jang Uk's secret place.

Meanwhile, Jang Uk reveals the Queen's plans to Master Lee (Im Chul Soo), who is planning to take over the firebird inside Jinyowon.
Although he wants to fight them, Jang Uk is reminded that it would be seen as a revolt, especially that he's the rightful heir to the throne as the King's son through alchemy of souls.'
On the other hand, Jin Bu Yeon wishes to visit Danhyanggok to see the biggest tree on Daeho. Seo Yul, who yearns for Naksu's warmth, offers to come with her.
Seo Yul's Impending Demise
As they were about to board the boat, So Yi's right hand man rushed to Seo Yul to ask for his help.
Jin Mu's men attack the poor woman inside her gambling den, planning to kill her after learning that the blood parasite was not inside her body anymore.

Seo Yul saves So Yi but all of this was put to waste when he feels the effects of the blood parasite inside him, making him unable to fight back. So Yi tries to help Seo Yul but she soon faces her demise.
Thankfully, Jin Bu Yeon, who heard the conversation before, relays what happened to Jang Uk. He then goes straight to the gambling den to save Seo Yul, eager to take down every one of Jin Mu's men.
