The new Netflix series "The Glory" marks Song Hye Kyo's return to the entertainment industry. Through her new work, the actress aims to deliver comfort to the viewers who experienced school violence and unnecessary pain in their lives.

Moon Dong Eun Walks Painful Memory Lane

"The Glory" begins with Moon Dong Eun (Song Hye Kyo) reminiscing about her past. In her new apartment, she staples photos of Park Yeon Jin (Lim Ji Yeon) and her gang who bullied her in the past.

In 2004, a young Moon Dong Eun (Jung Ji So) struggles in the hands of her perpetrators led by Park Yeon Jin (Shin Ye Eun).

Despite showing signs of being beaten up, the authorities including the police and teachers don't believe her claims of being violently bullied.

The bullies would torture and burn her skin using a hair straightener. deliberately punch her until she passes out and sexually assault her. They would even trespass and beat her inside her own home.

Because of the immense pain she felt under the rich kids' hands, she reaches her breaking point and tries to take her own life. However, she thinks of a much better idea.

Moon Dong Eun then drops out of school and works as a factory worker while simultaneously studying for the college entrance exam. She also promises Park Yeon Jin that they will meet again in the future.

Moon Dong Eun Begins Her Revenge Plan

To execute her revenge, she hires a battered wife Kang Hyeon Nam (Yeom Hye Ran) as her runner, tailing everyone she wants to take down.

After a decade, Park Yeon Jin is now a weather forecaster and a loving wife and mother. Lee Sa Ra (Kim Hieora) is now a painter while Choi Hye Jeong (Cha Joo Young) is a flight attendant.

Jeon Jae Jun (Park Sung Hoon) now owns a boutique called Siesta and Son Myeong Oh (Kim Gun Woo) acts as his right hand man.

While carefully polishing her plans, she meets Joo Yeo Jeong (Lee Do Hyun), a plastic surgeon who teaches her how to play Go-a game which she uses to infiltrate Park Yeon Jin's picture-perfect home.

Moon Dong Eun Infiltrates Park Yeon Jin's Life

After making sure that everything is in its rightful places, Moon Dong Eun shows up like a ghost in front of her bullies, haunting them with the past.

She plans to use Son Myeong Oh as her spy, who fortunately obliges. However, Park Yeon Jin doesn't seem too pleased with her presence, and threatens to kill her.

What drives Park Yeon Jin even more insane is that Moon Dong Eun is her dearest daughter's homeroom teacher. She tells the former that she will never leave them alone, and that transferring school is never an option.

Elsewhere, Moon Dong Eun meets with Park Yeon Jin's husband, who clearly looks enamored by her enigma. As they play Go, a noticeable sexual tension surrounds them.
